Well, bowl me over. A TSwift dress I like? It’s sleek and simple and a little bit retro. She still drives me insane, though.

  • homofascist

Love the dress.  The dress is really retro and I like it a lot, although the shoes read a little ‘grandma’ to me.

    • 3boysful

       Totally.

    • http://twitter.com/Kikishua CMS

I’m just imagining my grandma in these shoes and… *splutter*

  • Delaney Davis

The girl just does not like to move her face. Super cute dress, though.

  • Monkey Toe

She (or her stylist) has no imagination–the model basically looks like Swift with better but matchy shoes.

  • mhleta

She’s such a lady. I really appreciate that about her. Pretty, modern but not too coy. Yes’m.

    • http://profiles.google.com/gillianholroyd gillian holroyd

Not coy? Coy is her first name.

  • teensmom99

Great dress, great fit. The haters must not have teens–she’s such a different kind of fashion icon for them.  For example, she’s all covered up!

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_64HSRZWCSJ5RBFGCWDLFQOICYM G

Thank you for that comment, and you know, I thought she was absolutely amazing on 60 minutes!

    • random_poster

I get what you’re saying. I’d much rather have my daughter admire Taylor’s style than, say, Katy Perry or most other female performers with a teen fanbase.

  • http://twitter.com/MajorBedhead MajorBedhead

Love the dress. My what-I-think-is-rational-hate of her just has to scroll down past the face in order to appreciate it.

    • TieDye64

      This.

  • http://twitter.com/delysia_lafosse Delysia LaFosse

She bores me to tears. She almost always looks fine, and I am very supportive of anybody who wants to go a more modest route in their personal style, celebrity or no, but she just looks too wholesome and pastel all the bloody time. It’s a cute dress and it looks nice on her. That’s as much enthusiasm as I can summon.

    • Laylalola

I agree. And it kind of pisses me off that she’s somehow managed to turn one of Elie Saab’s creations into just “a cute dress” — I mean, it’s borderline disrespectful.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/KBNJ6GJTXYEE6BON3WGK6KEGT4 Elizabeth

Love her in this dress. It’s kind of an “Of course” or “Twee as Fuck” look for Taylor, but she really looks adorable. It works.

  • gdougs

I wish the dress came in at the waist instead of the hips, but it does bring out her eye color beautifully.

  • Sara__B

A perfect dress for our pretty princess, but the shoes are all wrong.

  • Laylalola

I am dumbstruck that she didn’t choose one of Elie Saab’s more ethereal pieces.

  • http://twitter.com/Sugarbeetle Sugarbeetle

It’s a good “sitting dress” as TLo likes to say. She doesn’t have to worry about things falling out while watching the show.

I don’t have TSwift’s princess persona, but I want this dress for myself. It is gorgeous. Elie Saab never fails to create beautiful garments.

  • kimmeister

That ice blue looks lovely on her.

  • LesYeuxHiboux

Very pretty ensemble, I love the bodice. Perfectly retro with just hint of Paris, without going costume. I am so sick of the red lip on this one. It has never really done much for her looks, a coral or pink would be more flattering. I wish the bag wasn’t so matchy and the shoes were either a color or a more committed grey. She looks nice from the neck down, but with the face all I see is LIPS.

  • poggi

This looks great.  This is what her wax figure at Madame Tussauds should wear, unless it already is…

  • Trisha26

She looks like a wax figure. Hate the lipstick.

  • NC_Meg

I would love to see Cathy Cambridge in this dress (or any Elie Saab dress. Please, Cathy?)

    • Allison Woods

Ohh–me too, wouldn’t this look great on our Cathy?

  • http://twitter.com/grooxcore Marie Ee

The dress is freaking retro-fabulous and works like crazy for her colouring but the hair and lip are sad to me.

    • TieDye64

The shoes make me a bit sad, too.

  • quiltrx

    Really cute!

Given the ‘Disney Princess’ thing she often gets, i feel honor-bound as a Bitter Kitten to point out that the fabric is EXACTLY the color of Cinderella’s gown. :)

  • Insidiously

She is peaches, cream, and ever so pristine. I think I want to vomit.

  • holdmewhileimnaked

great dress, decent hair [i wear the same kind of hair so i would think so], terrible shoes, wrong lipstick. ding ding ding ding ding!

  • crash1212

Love the dress and it looks good on her. Hate the lipstick and the shoes are so ugly they make me want to cry.

  • http://vhanna26.typepad.com Vera

    Love the dress.

  • RzYoung

Oh no! Swifty’s wearing something I love! oh no. That’s a great dress. I wonder if, in person, her hair is amazing and it just doesn’t translate to photos? That’s the only reason I can think of as to why she wouldn’t change it. In photos it looks the colour of one of those sample loops of hair you get in the hair dye aisle.

  • MilaXX

at least it’s not another red dress.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jessica-TallGirl-Freeman/1043623567 Jessica TallGirl Freeman

I love the dress, that is about it.  The shoes bore me and the rest is typical Swifty. She does need to brighten up the hair a bit.

  • Annabelle Archer

“See, I can be a Kennedy. I can, I can!”

  • neofashionista

uggghhhhh irrational hatred flare… control the rage… control the rage…

  • ojosazules

I don’t know makeup, but it seems to me like she always has the same damn makeup on. She never looks any different at all. This has never bothered me before. Doesn’t Dita have the same Noh mask kind of makeup? Why doesn’t hers bother me? Why does this woman’s makeup bother me?

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_VZLU6YVO4BRTELTTH3GRAAMWZQ Dot

Love it from the neck down. Everything else….urgh.

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

It’s cute. A bit twee, but not so much that a normal person – say, ME – couldn’t wear it.

I’m kind of bothered that she – head to toe – looks like the model, though.

  • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

That is my most favorite thing she has ever worn. What a beautiful dress. What a great shape and color.

  • formerlyAnon

Fit is great, dress is great, something is missing. Maybe some bolder accessorizing? It just doesn’t look to me as if she’s made it her own.

  • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

Hate the clutch, hate the shoes, think she needs her fringe (bangs to my American friends!) trimmed a skosh, but overall, lovely.

  • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

I dissent.  HORRIBLE, sisterwife dress with very odd seaming smack across the front.  She looks like an escapee from Weird Al Yankovic’s “Amish Paradise”.  Ugh, that hair.  Ugh, those bangs.  Ugh, those shoes.  Ugh, that gash of red on her lips.  No, thank you.

  • afabulous50

Jesus!  Can we all just agree to disagree about her personality???  Enough already.  Isn’t this site about her clothes only?  We aren’t allowed to discuss model’s bodies – yet we’re allowed to rip this girl to shreds?  I don’t get it.

    Great dress BTW.

  • guest2visits

    I. Love. It.   Virtually the same styling as the model but more fun and full of life.

  • amf0001

in the last photo she looks like she should be on revenge, plotting…
I guess there is something tinfoiil about her for me,  that I never quite trust her. But she is very pretty and this dress was virutally designed for her,  she just needs to lighten her bangs…
