Great dress Wonder Woman-type (not loving the fit around the bust/shoulders though). But I want her to find a hair stylist.

She should have kept the belt.

Is it me or does she look completely befuddled in the first picture?

    • Jill_3

       It needs the belt desperately.

      agree. really missing the belt.

  • Beth G

She looks like she had 3 sick kids up all night.

Damn girl! Her hair is a little shapeless, but her jewelry and make up are fab.

  • tereliz

She needs the belt and an updo. While I love the fresh-faced makeup, it feels out of place with the Lhuillier gown.

The belt would have completed the look, but she still looks hot anyway! She could have also used a stronger lip.

  • sweetestsith

I feel like she’s trying to be Sandra Bullock these days, and I don’t understand why this is happening. J.G. is beautiful and talented in her own right, she doesn’t need to be dressed like an awkward knockoff.

Love the dress, but not on her, and it needs the belt to finish the look.

  • Trisha26

I really like it with the belt, as on the model, and the bodice fit seems off. She also needs a little lip color.

Why would you skip the belt? That and better hair (and maybe stronger makeup) would’ve taken this look a lot farther.

She’s worn a fair few red dresses recently – this is by far my favourite look (and no stick straight hair!)

A smile would just about win me over.

  • kimmeister

I think the belt would have looked too complicated on her.  The dress, jewelry, and bag are awesome; I just wish she had zhuzhed her hair and gone with bolder makeup.

    • mhleta

I give you extra points for attempting to spell “zhuzh”. Jzuje? Shjooshj? Jjuuje?  It’s impossible.

I wonder why she removed the belt. It’s much more flattering with it.

So that the upper edge of her spanx would be emphasized?

I don’t know about the belt, it might be too much of a horizontal emphasis. I do think she should crank the hair and makeup up a notch.

Of all her post-baby red outings, this one is the best.

  • VRuss

Not the best dress on her, but I love how she looks in red!

    ugh yes SYDNEY BRISTOW FOREVER!!!!!!!!

THIS is how a 40 year old, mother of three does hot. Tamale hot. Not a whiff of desperation in sight. If you told her she looked nice right now, she’d say, ‘this old thing? oh, it’s just something I threw on.’ I love it. The diamonds, the hair, no belt. She looks kick-ass.

    • MissAmynae

Electra’s Mom. In the best ways!!

  • MilaXX

The color is great on her, but she needs the belt and the makeup needs to be warmed up a bit. She’s got dead lips.

  • holdmewhileimnaked

little purse is interesting but why did she have the belt removed? she really needed the belt.

    edited to add:
or else she couldve had the side panels filled in w/ the darker material used on the curves. i cant name that fabric from these photos, but it doesnt matter. it wouldve provided more or less the same effect as does the belt. as is she just redefined the dress in an exactly opposite, less flattering way from how it was sent down the runway.

  • unbornfawn

Dress needs hemming. She appears to be a little to curvy to pull this dress off. She needs more dramatic makeup. The hair is a frizzy mess.

  • Imasewsure

It does seem a bit mature but I think she looks beautiful, even with the simple hair and makeup. Her hair looks so pretty (and not full of extensions) so I like it even if it is a little casual. She definitely loves this red!

  • mhleta

Pretty darn good, but it’s gaping a bit on top ear the armpits. Otherwise, she looks quite beautiful, well rested and fit. Way to bounce back post-baby.

  • quiltrx

I LOVE those Bvlgari clutches.  A girl can dream.

The way the dress is seamed, it definitely looks like something is missing without the belt.  I kind of like her tousled hair, but something about the pale-pink-or-none? lipstick is making her look older than she is.

I rather like the line of the dress better without the belt, so I’m with her on that decision.  But her faces looks like all the color bled out of it and into the dress.  Fix that, and put your hair up (or back, or at least off your shoulders), and SMILE!  Then you’ll look like the full million bucks.

  • thehousesparrow

Nope.  Hair isn’t done well, the dress looks loose in places where it shouldn’t, and the cut of the top doesn’t complement her boob size.

Should have kept the belt. Either way, this doesn’t seem to be in her wheelhouse.

The belt really does make the dress, here it looks incomplete.

  • guest2visits

It’s ok. I like the way the straps and the top fit her arms and shoulders. I guess it’s the fabric itself thats letting me down,
it doesn’t look expensive enough. Good color for her though.

  • margaret meyers

This looks like a cheap etsy dress.  Shiney vinyl and stretchy polyester.  The belt might have saved it… or not.
