She’s one of those women who drinks the blood of virgins to stay young and beautiful. She has to be.

  • JasmineAM

The model is working that dress! Halle looks gorgeous as always, but the length on the runway looks much more flattering.

    • http://remedialstitcher.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

I agree. It’s too long on Halle.

  • siriuslover

I feel like Hillary Clinton getting caught looking at Christina Aguilera’s boobs. They’re just right there! I can’t even focus on the dress–maybe because of the cut.

I’m totally straight, but my eye went right to those babyheads.  Her genetic superiority shines although the dress needs to be a little shorter.

  • Trisha26

She’s another on my list of my irrational hates – but speaking impartially I dislike the side silhouette, the length, and the tight bodice. But then again she’s never met a dress that’s too small.

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

She should have gone up a size (it’s not illegal, Halle) and it would have been a WERQ.

  • warontara

She should’ve ha it altered for length, cause then it’d be a knockout!

  • eowyn_of_rohan

It’s from a 2005 collection?!  So is this something that was actually in her closet that she’s re-wearing?  Or did her stylist decide that 2005 was vintage already?

  • MilaXX

Agree with everyone else. She looks great but the dress is too long

  • http://eclectictsunami.blogspot.com/ Cassie

It’s a shame that the dress is too long and too tight, because it’s a really sharp, fierce dress. I love Roland Mouret and I love that Halle is wearing something really age-appropriate for once, but that fit is…not right.

    • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

Just half a size up and 2″ shorter.

  • ojosazules

The dress works better for a smaller breasted person. The sleeves don’t do well with her figure. Or maybe the sleeves just don’t work. Any shorter and it would just be a tight boob dress with bunchy sleeves.

  • sweetestsith

This dress is way too tight, and I still think she looks freaking amazing. I love her hair too, she doesn’t always do much to it on the red carpet, and I love the exuberance here.

  • holdmewhileimnaked

beautiful dress, why did she lengthen it? or did she does not have it made to order? doesnt make any sense. still looks good, woulda looked better at runway length.

  • SewingSiren

The Galaxy dress is the most flattering dress in the world. If I had a real one I’d wear it everyday.

    • kimmeister

It’s gorgeous, but those of us with linebacker shoulders must stay away from adding more volume there.  :(

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

    *LOVE* this, head to toe.

  • http://twitter.com/MajorBedhead MajorBedhead

I seriously dislike this woman for a variety of reasons, but I can appreciate that she’s gorgeous. However, this dress is too tight and too long and the sleeves are doing weird things that they don’t seem to be doing on the model. Also, I think she’s too big-breasted to be wearing it.

That was me, being kind to someone I loathe.

People hate Halle Berry? Why? (just curious).

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/Y3OY6COEVBS2STNCUNIRZ3COUE Claudia

The hit and run?  Or was it her acceptance speech at the Oscars?

        • DTLAFamilies

Hit and run and crazy attempts to take custody of her daughter away from her ex. She’s a nutjob.

          • Eva_baby

Wait..what?  Crazy attempts to take custody? I know that a lot of people on the Internets believe that Gabriel is some snow white pure victim but the fact that a family court judge required that he have supervised visitation prompts me to believe that she had some cause for concern.  Unless you were living in her house with them and know differently, then please don’t characterize a woman’s possible concerns for the safety of her child as ‘crazy’.

          • glennethph

Oh like family court isn’t swayed by celebrity?  Or that they really know what’s happening?  And I totally believe that her nanny thinks that he’s unfit. Please.  I’m not saying he’s innocent but the level of muckraking on her part reached cray a long time ago.

  • Imasewsure

This dress really seems like one that would work on a lot of different shapes even though it’s form fitting. Pretty on the model (of course), pretty on Halle (duh) but I could see a lot of other women working it too… sleeves really make it more than just a standard LBD to me. Love it.

    • SewingSiren

It does work on a lot of different body types. I made myself a knock off years ago, and when I wear it, it never fails to get lots of complements. And I can assure you that I look like neither Halle Berry or the runway model.

  • formerlyAnon

Rouland Mouret dresses have enough shape to look fabulous as they skim over the body, I will never prefer one worn so that the body’s curves stretch the dress to conform to their shape.

I’d like everyone to note that the backdrop is surprisingly tasteful this time. That’s not easy to do when clients usually demand their logo be reproduced in all its technicolor glory.

  • DTLAFamilies

    TOO TIGHT.

  • quiltrx

It’s funny, I was thinking a woman looks powerful and strong in that kind of neckline…and I see it was a ‘power of women’ event!  Perfect choice, Miss Halle.  (and of course you look incredible, we expect nothing less!)

  • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

If this had been shortened it would have been worth “snaps up” from TLo, I think.  I see other comments about the babyheads but I think she looks lots better in this than the rib-spreader model.  Her bust is not threatening to fall out of the dress, nor is it cut down to the nipple line.  I’m glad she didn’t distract from the neckline with any jewelry.  She looks wonderful!

  • thehousesparrow

Too tight, otherwise it looks nice on her.

  • MoHub

    Halle—please put the boobs away.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=122613264 Carly Warnock

Not flattering on her stomach area and too long. Also, she has a giant head and such a tiny body.

  • afabulous50

Shorten the dress and stop with the crazy hair.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jessica-TallGirl-Freeman/1043623567 Jessica TallGirl Freeman

Definitely needs to size up here.  I don’t usually like this length, but it is working on her.  Even if she can’t take a deep breath.

  • kolokOlchik

    she’s just incredible looking!

  • Lisa Dugan

Fabulous!  It’s tight but she looks amazing.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_VZLU6YVO4BRTELTTH3GRAAMWZQ Dot

Too tight and the length is odd. It’s interesting how the dress looks much “drapier” on the model.

  • jw_ny

Halle looks fantastic, but the dress is a bit too tight, and the length is wrong…makes her look kind of dumpy.  Imagine Halle Berry looking dumpy?!  O.o  It should be just above her knees.

  • mom2ab

    Perfection.

  • TSkot

    Va va va voom!

  • guest2visits

This is really wow on the model; and even though it’s a form fitting design, it’s still too tight on Halle.

  • neofashionista

    as per usual Very Pretty
