Emma Watson makes an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show in London in an Cushnie et Ochs dress paired with Tom Ford sandals.

    not a sitting down dress…. and it makes the proportions of her body look really funky….

    oooh, that bodice is very sad looking when she is sitting down. Actually, the fit isn’t all that great when she is standing, but that leather looks like sad, droopy flesh when she sits. This is definitely a stand-and-have-your-picture-taken-and-don’t-move-an-inch dress.

       The bodice isn’t fitted well at all. Even walking out it looks droopy.

      I thought the same thing! I think maybe it’s the cut of the bodice and the fact that it’s too big on her, but it makes her look like she has a very athletic shape

      I like the athletic, strong-shouldered look, but I am not sure it works with a dress which is intrinsically an awkward take on a sexy slit & cutouts.

       This hit me as a more formal take on an old-school gym dress; it just needs a pair of matching bloomers and a field hockey stick.

      Yes, you nailed it. She is so adorable, but I looked at this and immediately thought it made her look like a teenage boy. Weird, because with the cut out on the bodice you’d think it would accentuate the feminine. However, it’s having the opposite effect, making her look much more masculine.

    I hate how the bodice scrunches up when she’s sitting down. Actually, it seems like the bodice doesn’t fit her very well, period. I want to like the dress, but it’s a little off to me.

        It’s in the top half of the face, around they eyes. I think it’s more obvious if you can compare using younger picture of Emma.

    She makes it work. Nothing embarrassing happening when she’s sitting, the color looks good on her, and she’s svelte enough to pull off those cutouts. Cute.

    I also like her hair this length.

    Her boobs are really, really perky (just a comment, mostly arising from jealousy).

    Wow, yeah, I’d never have guessed that she could look so broad-shouldered and narrow-hipped. I mean, I’ve seen plenty of pictures of her and never had that impression, so what else can it be but that the dress doesn’t suit her? Plus, it makes her look like her boobs are completely insane, looking off in different directions, which I can’t believe is actually the case.

      I dunno. I think the broad shouldered & narrow hipped look is great – but more suited to slim pants with halter tops and/or fabulous jackets than slit-from-stem-to-stern dresses.

    I like the dress and think it’s a nice color, but I see where you guys are coming from. If you’re going to wear something like this you need to be standing/sitting up straight at all times. She’s not.

    Her hair and makeup don’t go with this va va va voom sexy mamacita dress at all. She needs a sassy ponytail or slicked back pompadour and fierce smoky racoon eyes. Not Daisy lovely makeup.

    I just don’t think she is a natural fashionista even though she always seems to be classified as one. I know it’s just me but it always seems like a total disconnect between her looks and couture – she is very cute though

      It’s not just you. I think she looks good in clothes because she has the body for them, but people kind of over praise her because she’s Emma Watson, she played Hermione and a lot of people love her. That’s fine. But though she can wear a lot of clothes, I don’t she looks right in all of them. 

      Personally prefer the more classic look on her like the Erdem she wore for TIFF and I think that her street style suggests the same thing as her natural preference, but she often strays from that direction. 

      It will be interesting to see how her style develops.

        Gotta agree. She’s very cute (and very young)… I used to feel the same about some of the other baby stars too and they came in to their own later as well. At least she’s adventurous!

    That dress looks just as bad on her as it does on the model. Well, a tad worse because the bodice is too long from boob to waist on her and sags depressingly.

    But SHE is adorable, I like her hair and love her shoulders and smiling vibe.

    The dress looks kind of droopy and bunchy around the boobs even on the model who is standing still. I am just so over cut outs and that is pretty much the only trick that Cushnie et Ochs has in their purse. Also can we stop with the leather dresses. I almost never like them.

    I think this would be really cute if she had better posture. If she stood up/sat up straight, the wrinkles would smooth out and I suspect you wouldn’t be able to tell where it had been taped – at least, not as obviously. It’s a pretty dress and it suits her nicely, but I question its suitability for sitting down (probably even with better posture).

    Not her look. The cut of the top makes her look like she has really broad shoulders, something I’ve never thought she’d had before.

    Whatever that dress is made out of (leather? pleather?), the fabric and the cut don’t work together. It looks stiff and oddly bulky in the wrong spots. Plus, as somebody else already noted, it looks like a dowdy flag twirler’s outfit, which  to my mind is not a particularly good look for Emma Watson or anybody else. The shoes aren’t doing her any favors, either.

    Emma, you are a gorgeous women but you need to set that dress on fire and slap whoever recommended you wear it for a sit down interview.  They are not your friend, and neither is that bodice.
