This is not what I meant when I asked her to change her hair…. -.-

    • kimmeister

It’s still better than the curled bangs that part in the middle . . .

  • sockandaphone

the hair is just so wrong for the dress.

  • Evan Hart

This doesn’t suit her at all…. she’s gorgeous but that hair is an awful shade for her, and it has absolutely no life to it… (is the color for a movie I wonder? Her hair was dark in The Hunger Games….)

    • Jill_3

       That’s definitely her Katniss hair.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1234087433 Jen Freeman

I agree, its been dyed because Catching Fire is starting to shoot next week. But way to flat and straight, she should have a big bunch of glorious Kate Middleton curls

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Lucía-Gavello/1253586868 Lucía Gavello

That’s the problem IMO, not the shade per se but the lack of volume.

        • http://www.facebook.com/aconsertijones Annalisa Conserti-Jones

Yeah, she’d look much better if she had let the hair hang au naturel, or pinned it up.

    • rach_fraser

I think she said in an interview they are stating to film Catching Fire, the next hunger games film in the next week or two, so it will be for that.

  • DominoEstella

Woah.. the hair is bad, real, real bad.  She looks like a character in a Timm Burton stop motion Halloween film.  Not good at all.

  • Andrew Schroeder

Well bless her for trying something new, but I think her face is too full for such a flat hairstyle. Also, I think she looks better as a blonde; she must have dyed it again to film Catching Fire.

  • jilly_d

    Girl, that’s not your hair.

  • GoAwayKardash

I like the dress much better at ankle length.

    • 3boysful

Clearly you are correct–look how many of us agreed with you!  Is she that short, or did they modify it?

Also, I believe I spy a bobby pin over her right brow.  Tacky for an official public appearance.

      • mshesterp

No, she’s pretty tall.  Maybe she thought tea length would look silly?  But it just looks way too heavy and dark at that length.  I think besides the heads suit she looks good, but the shorter dress would’ve been perfect.

  • TieDye64

Aw, dang. So close, honey. The dress is so striking on her and yet…the hair. The hair. It pains me. Not only is it all wrong for such a dress it’s also not very flattering. Maybe next time.

  • Roosevelt 85

I don’t think it’s for Hunger Games. She’s filming X-Men First Class sequel and I think they use a wig for her red/orange Mystique hair

    • Jnnreedy08

She’s currently filming Catching Fire. X-Men filming begins right afterwords in January.

  • sweetestsith

Put my finger on the screen to make “bangs” and the difference it makes is AMAZING. Side bangs would be her best friend provided they are actually parted on the side. I wish someone would talk her into some pretty side bangs. This hair does even less for her than the previous version.

  • skimblelu

She looks more like  herself when she smiles. The non smiling look is weird.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Mary-Elizabeth-Poytinger-Baumer/1516981341 Mary Elizabeth Poytinger Baume

    the dress is glorious.

  • quiltrx

That’s a freaking fabulous dress.  I like it better at tea length (always been a sucker for tea length!), but it’s still great.

But that hair is giving me gout.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_JSGAZPEESHQT47ATH55GNOHHBY Erin

Thank you for updating!  Winona Ryder was trying to steal our souls with her crazy eyes.

As for Jen up there, I think she looks great except for her hair (and even that would have looked good with volume; I like it dark like that).

  • aristida_girl

I feel like her hair and her lips match her dress, which is not working for me, but I love he dress, although I also prefer the tea-length…I do like her with the dark hair, but wish it had more dimension, both in color and in volume….

  • Sara__B

Morticia Addams in a really great dress.

  • http://twitter.com/lenabena_ Elena

Wow. I’m not sure how I feel about this. I appreciate her doing something different, but…

  • http://twitter.com/jaythenerdkid Aaminah Khan

That dress is stumpifying her. Can’t remember ever seeing her look at short and weirdly proportioned as this in other outfits.

  • http://twitter.com/MandySCG MandyJane

Love the dress, but it probably needed to be hemmed a bit.

  • http://twitter.com/watchinginkdry Krysta

No. That’s an ugly dress, and not a good hairstyle for her.

    • AudreysMom

agreed. I give her credit for doing something different, but the hair is too flat and the dress looks like one of my Barbie prom dresses that was soaked for too long in a glass of grape Kool-aid

  • http://kingderella.tumblr.com/ kingderella

i dont like this dress… its “too digital print”. it looks like shes wearing a screen saver.

  • frannyprof

Agree with the BKs about the hair, but her makeup looks good, no?

  • http://twitter.com/MajorBedhead MajorBedhead

That dress is gorgeous and looks great on her. I agree with everyone about the hair and that the dress should be tea length. Her makeup is great. It’s just the hair – it’s far too flat.

  • MilaXX

You know, I think I like her Katnis hair better. Both the color and the style look loads better on her than the blonde with bangs. I don’t think this full skirt really suits her though.

  • teensmom99

tragic hair and the dress is too long.  It’s the perfect “Dior New Look” length on the model.

  • L Harlan

I actually like the dress with the additional length, but the hair just isn’t working.

  • SophieCollier

I like the fabric, but the style is kind of high school prom night.  Seems a waste of interesting fabric.  Her hair isn’t helping elevate this look by any means either.  She’s a stunningly pretty woman but not on this night.

  • Scarlet39

    Where are her feet?

  • ojosazules

How to take a fresh, vibrant, juicy young woman and turn her into a waxen Morticia. I like the dress, agree that the tea length is much better, would be less Morticia.

  • http://surelysonsy.blogspot.com/ Jessica | Surely Sonsy

this is stunning. even her hair. my heart stopped a bit when i saw this picture…

  • alyce1213

The dress is very cool, but better at tea-length.  That hair is hideous, overly flattened and too dark for her.  Morticia.

  • PhillipWilde

It’s a decidedly dark turn for her, and I love it.  I was getting tired of seeing her in gold.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=751285857 Sally Brownson

The dress is great. I hate her hair, but I can’t tell if I hate it because it’s too dark for her or because her eyebrows are not dark enough to make it look right.

  • http://twitter.com/aidanboleyn Aidan B

Wait, what? I read that all of her Katniss hair in “The Hunger Games” was wigs because she wouldn’t let them dye it; so now she changes her mind? I don’t hate the color but good lord, is this ever crying out for some volume!

    • AnaRoW

She didn’t want them experimenting with her hair to find the right color because she didn’t want it damaged.   She let them dye it once they knew what shade they were going with.

  • Trisha26

Her hair should be bigger or up, the gown (beautiful print) should be shorter (like on the model) but less full (even on the model it doesn’t work).

  • Sabina Kallstrom

I kind of like it… it’s like a twisted fairytale look.

  • Amy Ennis

I am in love with this dress.

  • LesYeuxHiboux

She has Morticia head, but that gown is tailored to her perfectly (and suits her coloring). I like the lip-color on her, though I wish she’d gone with a more elegant hairstyle. I like that they didn’t shorten the skirt, she would have looked so wee.

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

    Great dress, tragic hair.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Paige-Boerman/670140590 Paige Boerman

Her hair looks better dark – but this style is not at all flattering. As for the dress, it’s interesting at least, but I’m too distracted by the hair to notice it much.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jessica-TallGirl-Freeman/1043623567 Jessica TallGirl Freeman

Oh honey no. This is not you one bit.  Flat, straight hair, and all around too dark.  You’ve lost that glow you seem to have so naturally.

  • TheOriginalLulu

I think she looks gorgeous, but the hair is too flat. Love the dark color, but why did they flatten it out so much?

  • turtleemily

Girl, That’s Not Your Skin Tone

Seriously, that shade of brown is making her all sorts of sallow.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1241487378 Lauren Lynch Fox

Loved the book!!! Can’t wait for the movie. Did not like the dress until I read what she was wearing it for and now I think I like it. Crazy book, crazy girl (character), crazy dress!

  • elirt

A lot of negative comments here, but I actually really like it. Such a change of mood compared to others on the RC and the dark hair matches the feel of the dress – I just wish the dress was shorter like on the runway because then it wouldn’t look as heavy.

  • Anathema_Device

Cool dress. Wish she had worn it the shorter length, as shown in the runway pic. It looks a little bottom heavy to me otherwise.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_U5LTVYHX32MGMMXR33G7TOXVR4 Magdalena Monzerrat Ontiveros

hate all the post galliano Dior, without any concept or personality

  • http://promiscuouslola.com/ Cate

She looks like Katy Perry with that hair.
Incidentally I do not like Katy Perry’s hair.

  • snarkykitten

her hair looks like it came out of a can

  • http://angryfemur.tumblr.com Andrea Lane

Killer dress, but maybe she should invest in a blow dryer.

  • Allison Woods

    Love the dress.

  • http://twitter.com/TMamBo Therese Bohn

    I love this dress!
