Nice color, but too tight, and the peplum hits her in the wrong spot.

    • rh33

       Yes, yes, and yes!

    • margaret meyers

She’s really tall, which explains the peplum starting at her ribs and the skirt being too short. I don’t think she can buy off the rack.

  • petalfrog

Tall drink of water… even if it’s a bit tight. Her legs are incredible.

  • http://twitter.com/BMoreLopez Carrie Lopez

great silhouette on her! but pairing with those shoes was a mistake, and she needs to go up a size.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1208138556 Sara Munoz Munoz

      (or two)

  • IAmJ

WAY too tight. She looks uncomfortable.

  • LCTerrill

Too tight, too short, waistline hits too high, too plain. Looks like a bad Valentine’s Day Dance outfit.

  • http://remedialstitcher.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

Too tight and black pumps would have been better than matching the red.

  • MilaXX

Still not loving the hair, the skirt is a skoosh too tight & she should have gotten those shoes in black.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_L6FKGKUXWF6QSWWYAHJZYKKI3E Adrian

Ugh. These proportions are *all* wrong. That peplum is way too high, and the skirt is too tight and too short. And the almost-but-not-quite matchy shoes…feh. Man, she looks so hoochie. It looks like she’s going to the Pimp and Ho Ball.

    • MissAnnieRN

Not much else to say about this.  Unless she was going for Hoochie.  In which case, well done.

  • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

“I borrowed my little sister’s dress! What do you mean you can tell?”

  • formerlyAnon

Too tight. She’d look so much better if she went up a size (or two – that’s a generous rack) and had it altered to fit

  • LesYeuxHiboux

It would be perfectly cute if she would go up a size and find shoes that are not quite so close to the color of her dress. It looks like she tried to match and just missed, with a retina-vibrating result. I think the intend was probably an intense pink/red combo, though.

  • moppet

Beautiful makeup job. Her face looks outstanding. I think the outfit needs more breathing room, particularly the skirt, which could also use a few inches.

  • SophieCollier

The reds clash and that dress is wa-a-ay too tight, but if it had been in her size, it’d have been cute.

  • http://twitter.com/lenabena_ Elena

Cute, but nothing earth-shattering. Matchy shoes are annoying. Ugly hair dye. Still, even with my nitpicking, it’s not bad.

  • greyhoundgirl

She’s really into the too tight clothes, isn’t she?  At least it doesn’t have a bow on the butt.

    • RebeccaKW

Same issue as Jennifer Hudson…and probably every girl who has lost weight.  So excited by the new slender body that they want to show it off, not realizing that it isn’t flattering.  It doesn’t matter that she’s really a 4, because look!  She can get into a 2! (disclaimer: sizes for example purposes only, I have no idea what size she or anyone else is)

  • Imasewsure

Keep the shoes, the face and her gorgeous legs.. lose everything else (or go up a few sizes as several have suggested already)…beautiful happy looking woman… clothes could be much better

  • quiltrx

    Again, darling, UP A SIZE.

And the under-tit peplum is NOBODY’S friend.

  • nannypoo

Too tight and too short. The peplum is oddly placed. She’s beautiful and has a great singing voice. I hope she can act. I’d like to see her be successful.

  • olsonam

Unlike everybody else (though they’re all right) the first thing I noticed is that the fabric of her dress is much cheaper looking than the fabric of the dress the model is wearing.

And usually I hate peplums but this made me realize that women with curves who love to wear tight things would normally feel obligated to suck in their stomach uncomfortably (like the other post of her today) but the peplum allows for breathing.  Yay for breathing!

    • moppet

Interesting observation — do you think that the fabric of her dress is actually different from that on the model? Because it looks so to me now that you bring it up, but maybe it’s because Jordin’s dress is pulling so much (sorry, Jordin)

      • olsonam

Even the peplum is shinier (in a cheap way) in Jordin’s outfit but the model’s outfit looks more like wool, though looking a little closer it might be a little shiny.

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

Too tight, too short, the shoes are too matchy (and don’t actually match), and the peplum trend cannot die soon enough.

  • teensmom99

I think Jordin’s body looks great but she is making the mistake of someone who wants to show off their great new body and wearing her clothes too tight.  One size up on the skirt and it would have been great.  And if she wanted short for the great legs, this outfit actually looks good short–but that’s whythe tailor is your friend.

  • Isana Leshchinskaya

let’s go up a size, girl.

  • MK03

Oh…oh dear. Everything here is wrong: It’s too small, too short and the placement of the peplum makes her look like The 50 Foot Woman. Seriously, Photoshop a car into her hand in the last pic and the illusion is complete.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1314255041 Irina Ryabchuk

    Wow legs.

  • belfebe

She looks terrific, even though the skirt is a skosh too tight.

  • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

The fit on this is all wrong.  Too short and too tight.  The waistline is so high, its hitting under her bubbies, and that skirt is ferociously too tight. That said, if this fit as it does on the model, it would be nearly WERQ worthy for her.

  • Scarlet39

Too tight, too short, poorly fitted, and the shoes are wrong.    I guess it’s just all wrong.

  • http://twitter.com/MajorBedhead MajorBedhead

What everyone else has already said.

She sure does have killer legs, though. I can’t blame her for wanting to show them off.

  • http://twitter.com/stellaphone Stella Zawistowski

One of my rules for living is “If it’s not your size, don’t wear it.” Some people accuse me of really meaning “overweight people shouldn’t wear anything fun.” NO. COUNTEREXAMPLE. RIGHT HERE. Doesn’t matter what size you are, if the clothes you’re wearing are fit for someone else, it ain’t working.

  • Vlasta Bubinka

    Haiku!
    Peplum fits too wrong
    she is wearing skinny slip
    ill fit puckers near

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

I don’t get it.  This girl is gorgeous – but besides being too tight, it’s just not her dress!  She really needs a good stylist.  And please, get rid of the pink highlights.

  • kschwarting

The original has a great vintage feel, but I second (third, fourth) the others who have said that it is way too short and tight.  It has lost the proportions of the original and almost doesn’t look like the same dress.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Clydette-Wantland/673315286 Clydette Wantland

Too tight.  Hate the matched shoes, not the actual shoes, just that they match the dress.

  • kimmeister

The styling and proportions on the model are 10x better.  I look at the model and think “OMG want!”  I look at Jordin and think, “Oh honey, no.”

  • Coralie Legister

The dress on the model looks luxurious, classic and completely beyond my price range but the way Jordin’s wearing it, it looks like a dress I could buy for £12 from Primark.

  • marilyn

Way too tight and way too short.  She is too long-waisted for the top. She is a gorgeous woman.  This is a good color and style for her.  Too bad.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1241487378 Lauren Lynch Fox

I think I wore that in a wedding (tea length) in the early 90s….

  • http://twitter.com/delysia_lafosse Delysia LaFosse

The peplum is way too high on her, and in any case, I’d probably prefer it with a belt as in the modeling shot. The shoes are pretty fierce, but WAY too matchy-matcy Barbie with this outfit. The skirt would also look infinitely better a la the model; a lot longer and a lot less tight, and the bodice fits her strangely too… too tight in the boobs and armpits, too loose and high at the waist. It’s a really cute dress but it doesn’t work for her.

    • l_c_ann

Yes, ITA, that peplum is riding up so high it’s one bendover from being an empire waste gone bad.

Who on earth told her that this fit her?  If it’s a borrowed dress, wouldn’t the loaner want one that wouldn’t look hoochiemama in the photographs they KNEW would be taken?

  • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

    ugh.  killer shoes though.

  • TieDye64

The proportions are all wrong for her. And she needs to go up a size. Gorgeous legs, though.

  • http://www.facebook.com/Murphy.J.Colin Colin Murphy

Pretty one dimensional. The peplum is ok I guess. Pretty boring overall.

  • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

She just can’t seem to wear the right size. This is such a cute look for her but way too tight just like the dress yesterday.

  • Trisha26

The model is Parisien chic. Jordin, as lovely as she is, one peplum away from street-walker. Too short, too tight, heels insanely high.

  • kikisayshi

Oh Jordin, honey, no. I know you have this svelte new figure and you look great, but a peplum is just not for you. And is it me or is the dress pink with red (hot!) shoes? They don’t go.

  • guest2visits

So pretty; but if it going to be that snug – I think it needs to be a couple of inches longer.

  • LambeeBaby

The dress is way too small and tight, as evidenced by the placement of the boob peplum. I don’t think that is where it was intended to sit. If it fit appropriately it would be better, but without the belt it has an 80′s vibe, like she bought it from “Merry Go Round”. The color is fantastic on her.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Paige-Boerman/670140590 Paige Boerman

Too tight, and that peplum placement is horrid. Great color, though.

  • crash1212

Superb color. Don’t think it fits right as the peplum placement seems a bit high. I like the shorter length and – even though I know I’m not supposed to – I like the matchy-matchy killer shoes with this look. Hair is making me sad. Her smile makes up for everything – girl is gorgeous.

  • Lisa Dugan

Legs are amazing!  Skirt is too short and too tight.

  • Jennifer Coleman

Lotta congestion at the bodice: peplum too high and too close to boobs and too much hair. Pull hair back, move peplum down 1 inch and let out skirt hem 1.5 inches and she’s fine. Great bod.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1180174329 Elizabeth Phillips

Too tight.  Too high-waisted.  Skirt too short.  Hair too big.  Needs black or metallic shoes.
