Eek! Way too matchy. And what’s with the JBF hair? Out.

    • Verascity

       Worse, it’s *failed* matching.

  • ChaCha_70

Her hair is awful. And do I really need to mention the hem length? Bitter kittens already knew that, I’m sure.

    • ChiKat67

I’m ok with the hem length…apparently it’s something we’ll have to put up with for the next season (like jewel-toned suede platform pumps, silly putty pumps and unfortunate midriff-baring).  The hair?  I just can’t.  She also needs to find a new color lipstick.

    • kimmeister

It looks like she was going for the same ‘do that Marion Cotillard pulled off smashingly a few weeks ago.  Not your wheel house, hon.

    • Allyson Wells

Took the words right out of my mouth. Hair, shoes, hem = all wrong. How much do stylists get paid again?

      • Judih1

Agree with everything you said, just add make-up as all wrong too. She seems to look worse with each photocall. Perhaps she is as tired of doing them as I am tired of seeing her

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

Love the dress, just not on her. The hair looks awful. And my MOTHER would love those shoes.

    • janetjb

I don’t think I’m your mother, but I like her shoes a lot.

      • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

BTW, my mother does have a kickass sense of style. It’s just largely different from mine.

        • mjude

nothing like a kickass sense of style kind of mom.  mine has always been that way.  maybe thats why i really love those shoes!

    • GillianHolroyd

hey now. I love these shoes, in a retro way.

I’d wear them with jeans and a little (faux) fur wrap around my neck.

      • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

OK, I could see that. Actually, I realized that I have some similar, but more casual, shoes just like those that I wear when slacks/trousers to work. So I suppose they’re not *just* my mother’s shoes. ;)

  • Bridget212323

The dress is great – nothing else works though.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=713709401 Randy Noak

The dress makes her look dumpy. Cute dress, wrong body.

    • MilaXX

      In otherwords Not her dress.

      • mjude

        LOL

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

       OR, cute body, wrong dress.

  • pattyw

I actually like the hair. At least the bangs aren’t forming a solid wall and I think the length works much better with the shape of her face.

    • holdmewhileimnaked

me too, thought i’d be alone in that. although it does seem like it’s getting unevenly loose.

dress, though, dress, though–oy vey, it’s an early 60s banquet hall tablecloth from a banquet hall where the same fabric [w/ minor variation] was used for everything: tablecloth, curtains, chairs. so maybe it’s a curtain. or maybe the butt bow is made from the curtain & the rest from the tablecloth. or maybe some of it was made from the chair, you know, as if it were a semi-unconventional materials challenge [S-UM] where the contestants could still use fabric along w/ the fixtures.

that said, it needs to be shortened a good three inches before whoever is dressing this particular actress decides that, even still, it cannot be saved & she needs to wear something else.

shoes are hideous. the same spirited vuittons made maybe half a decade ago were so so much better. i know celebs feel they must be terribly à la mode but if she felt she had to use this style it might have behooved her better to use the old shoes. pun intended although, come to think of it, it doesnt make that much sense.

    • sweetestsith

I don’t mind the hair in general, the style idea is fine and bangs look far better than usual, but its so messy and half assed. My hair looks like that when I’m losing all of my bobby pins and just finished chasing a cat out from under the bed…

The dress actually fits her really nicely, it just isn’t a great color or the best hem length for her. I can’t handle the shoes, they look so ticky tacky to me.

  • tonibaloney

    **Sees hair, begins to weep.**

Why, Jess, why?! You just got your hair looking right, and now this? And the hem needs to be up just the teeniest bit, 1.5 inches or so. The shoes make her feet look jaundiced.

  • http://twitter.com/MajorBedhead MajorBedhead

What’s with the butt bows today? Pretty dress, not pretty on her, and it needs to lose the butt bow. Shoes/hair/makeup are hideous.

Did everyone suddenly decide to start dressing like bridesmaids or something? Or am I just especially bitter today?

  • Funkykatt

It’s really hot and humid here in California right now, I can see it in her hair.

  • MilaXX

    OUT!
Bad hair, butt bow & the wrong length for her.

  • gabbilevy

She is the wrong color for that dress, I think that’s why it’s not working for me. That and the hair. And those are the wrong shoes. Blech, Jess.

  • rissa42210

Yikes!  That’s an unfortunate hemline, a too-bright lip, and matchy-match shoes that don’t match!

  • http://twitter.com/astrosexy єℓιzαвєтн。

Her hair looks green in that first picture (or at least on my screen).

  • Trisha26

Even though the dress is the same length as on the model it looks too long on her. The shoes look matronly and her hair is messy. Hmmm. I guess that’s not good.

  • l_c_ann

Has the EU outlawed hairspray?  One or two flyaway ends, maybe, but something is terribly wrong when all the longer ends are flyaway.  That hair length flatters her, but the hairdo doesn’t.

This woman has all the potential in the world.

  • alyce1213

In the late ’60s, in a lapse of judgment, my mother had our living room couch recovered in that fabric.  She regretted it until she had it redone a few years later.
And don’t even get me started on her hair.  What the heck is that about?
The shoes are nice, and I think the bag’s nice, but can’t really see it well.

  • http://twitter.com/stellaphone Stella Zawistowski

That ratty-ass hair has got to GO.

  • slightlybitterkitten

Yoga hair; ill-fitting bustier; wrong length.  Fix these things, then we can talk.

  • formerlyAnon

She paid someone to do that hair.

Probably paid them more than I make in a week. (I’m underemployed, but still.)

Think upon these things in your hearts, brothers and sisters.

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

“Boring, Bland & Messy, how may I help you?”

  • belfebe

Why, oh why the gym hair?  Sigh.  Such a beautiful woman. Why wear colors that wash her out, awful hair, and awful makeup?  Get her some gays!  Pronto!

  • 3boysful

You know, I bet if someone did a new show where they give the contestants models, and the same dress. and send them out for shoes, accessories, etc, to style it, the Bitter Kittens would kick ass!

  • crash1212

I remain totally baffled by how such a truly stunning looking woman gets it SO wrong so often. This is just awful from stem to stern. While other women seem to be wearing dresses that are several sizes too small, this looks to be the opposite. The length is terrible on her. The hair is unspeakably bad. This just makes me SO grumpy. Grrrrrrrr!

  • Imasewsure

intervention needed. girl can not dress

  • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

How do you solve a problem like Maria Jessica? Girl, your curtain dress has got to go. Just because you folded it like a fancy napkin doesn’t disguise it’s curtains.
    Frump frump frump.

  • SophieCollier

Meh, she looks like a bride at her second wedding.  The hem’s too low and Good Night, what happened to her hair?  Don’t take a convertible to a red carpet event, Sweetie.

  • greyhoundgirl

People–get the stuff off your butts–it looks ridiculous, especially when there are more than one of you doing it.

  • quiltrx

Boring dress and somehow makes her look DUMPY…just weird, considering how it looks on the model.  And that hair, I just can’t.

  • LesYeuxHiboux

Post-workout hair, clown makeup, body-widening dress in an unflattering color, and shoes for a Broadway show about pilgrims?

    Did she lose a bet?

  • Allison Woods

I really never like this designer’s work. Wasn’t he, like the 3rd person kicked on on PR Season 7 or whatever?

And who is she again? We get like 12 outfits from her every day, and I still have no idea who she is. Can we have more Fan Bingbing? THAT GIRL KNOWS HOW TO BRING the BINGBING.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1314255041 Irina Ryabchuk

Slamming dress shape made out of curtains.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jessica-TallGirl-Freeman/1043623567 Jessica TallGirl Freeman

OH Jessica, you are a hot mess.

  • MissAnnieRN

Those shoes.  Cliche.  Every single bride since 2007 has had those pinned to their blog/pinterest/flickr/etc in blue (of course) and every one of them says “SQUEEE!!!  I’m totally splurging for these MB’s for my wedding day AMIRITE?”

  • teensmom99

that dress needs to be yanked up–too low cut and hitting the wrong spot at the waist–and hem would be better.  What can I say, my mother taught me to like those lengths.

  • marilyn

This is too long for her.  If the skirt stopped a few inches shorter, it would be great on her.  The hem is knee-length on the runway model.  This is a nice, summery dress, and the colors are good for her.   Her shoes are okay, and so is the purse.  Is this one of those dresses she was not allowed to modify?  If so, she needs to find someone else to supply her dresses.

  • ChaquitaPhilly

Too long and what’s with the hair?

  • afabulous50

Her hair!!  Something about her makes me on edge.

  • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

beautiful dress, but the orange lipstick and peach eyeshadow are horrible.  and then there’s the hair…..

  • TieDye64

    What a steaming hot mess.

  • ojosazules

Her face looks burned by an alien sun.

  • guest2visits

It’s a really pretty dress, but she should have chosen the model’s shoes. Maybe her hair too; this time messy is too messy.

  • Larkin21

    Hot mess.

  • SalmonCanon

When I saw that horrible curtain-wedding-dress fabric in the thumbnail, I thought: ‘Jessica Biel’.

  • melanie0866

Mother of Bride before she gets her hair done

  • bluefish

Dress looks great on the model with that styling going on to boost it.  Looks not so great on JB who, while very pretty, has zero sex appeal.  She reminds me of Heidi Klum in that way — genetically blessed but bland bland bland.

  • snarkykitten

jesus, mary & joseph on a bicycle. Her hair is sad

  • kikisayshi

A nice look, but the skirt either needs to be slimmer at the hem, or hemmed above the knee. Grandma shoes.

  • l_c_ann

All those loose ends hitting her bare skin, probably feels like so many insects.  (So the hair do/don’t may be as irritating to wear as it is to look at.)

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Paige-Boerman/670140590 Paige Boerman

She DESPERATELY needs new hair gays.

  • Jennifer Coleman

The bodice is overwrought (but it’s Zac, so no surprise there). The hem is too long on her & she looks stubby. Her hair is inexcusable – it is an insult to yogo to say it’s ‘yoga hair’. Something evil is happening in the rear view: butt bows and sketchy back splits possibly?
