    I’m not a fa of side-boob, and I really hope that she’s employing the use of double-sided tape, but she really looks great. Head-to-toe, I love the hair & makeup, the dress – gorge color, and the clutch & shoes.

    love this! Yes, the sideboob is Much, but I think she pulls it off and knows she looks great. The hair looks weird, but overall I really like this.

    Oh my. I do believe that there is a girl on which this might straddle the line between cheeky and elegant, and that woman may be Keira Knightley (if this was in a nice wine color). That woman is not the spectacularly bosomed Jaime King. More demure shoes are in order, as fierce as this pair is, because a dress without sides is edgy enough. The color of this dress is also a very vibrant coral, which is fighting with her yellow hair.

    This is a very nice dress,but that side boob is yucky.  Great shoes though

    Is the dress just a bit askew on her body and its not a design element. because her shoulder on one side is exposed and its covered on the other. I feel like if you shifted the dress so that it was centered on her body most of the side boob of the dress would disappear. I really like the color shape and side detail as well as the bag

    Man, if she dropped her clutch, everyone got a show!  I hate clothes you have to “maintain” with body posture or position…I bet she was aching all over by the end of the event.

    Since the part of the hair I can see is pretty boring, I’m going to assume that the part I can’t see is done in an interesting little “Carlotta in Vertigo” rosette.

       Woah there. It’s one thing to hate on the dress and say it looks tacky (true), but this comment comes across as rather lady-hating. Saying a woman who shows off her body looks like a prostitute is sex-shaming and that’s WAY tackier than side-boob!

    This is one instance where I actually think the side boob exposure works.  Sexy…not overly vulgar.

    Great color on her.  Hair & makeup are soft and pretty.  Accessories all work.  Lovely.  :)

      For side boob exposure it IS more sexy than vulgar. But [for me] it’s too sexy for a work event.  Unless you’re a working girl . . .

      Now, for a nice dinner with someone in whom you’re sexually interested/involved, this would work. But not for work. Because unless they’ve just announced that there is an imminent, life-threatening event going on and everyone is terrified to the point of panic & she’s got the map to the only escape route, no hetero male to whom she speaks is going to be able keep his mind on what she’s saying.

        Any actress/actor attending a launch party, RC event, charity function, etc., is essentially working, and I’ve seen a lot of women wearing way more revealing outfits than this showing all kinds of boobage spilling out of bustier tops and all kinds of cleavage that would distract a man (or woman as the case may be ;) ) way more than this outfit would.  I guess I don’t see why this small glimpse of side boob gets such a negative response from so many posters when the other side of the boob at the cleavage is so often and prominently displayed…without all the hub-bub. 

        To me, this dress is way more modest and tasteful than many.

           Well, it’s probably an individual thing, (and it’s certainly ambiguous since reminding the industry that one is “sexy” certainly has a work function for entertainers) but for me there’s a peek-a-boo element to this that is more engaging than the traditional cleavage – (which I think sometimes is also more distracting than is in the wearer’s best interest.) Kind of how a good stripper is more interesting than someone just walking around naked.

          I know I’m out of step with the theory that we should each be empowered to show as much of our bodies as we’re comfortable with without criticism (I like to think I’m not criticizing on moral but on practical grounds but perhaps I only kid myself that I haven’t bought into the puritan societal koolaid) but I do think that having too much on display does distract and if someone wants to have real conversations that go beyond rote social niceties then you have to be avoid being too distracting. Which is harder when you’re young and gorgeous.

          And lest anyone think I’m just sexist, I suspect that if Joe Manganiello showed up shirtless under his open suit jacket, there would be people at his table unable to exactly remember the details of what he talked about during dinner.

          But of course in our society, no-one expects a male actor to appear semi-naked at his formal & semi-formal events. Which [however empowered one feels being sexy in public] goes back to our society’s historically valuing different things in men and women.

    NO.  Lovely dress ruined by – not just “side boob” but “side entire torso.”

    The color also accentuates how awful that hair color is for her, but compared to the “all the talent I have to offer is my body” message that open top sends, brassy, clashing hair color is trivial.

    Interesting clutch.

    I’d be curious to see the same dress/accessories with a tight black (silky/nice, not just cotton) cami underneath. You’d only see it from the side, and the pop of black there might look awesome.

    She looks hot (even with the side boob – her chesticacles are just small enough to avoid my rage) as is, but not exactly comfortable and a little much in general.

    The coral looks lovely on her, and I love the clutch.  That concludes all of the positive things I have to say about this look.

      It was said of actress Sylvia Miles, “She’d attend the opening of an envelope,” which has become a stock phrase about publicity-seeking celebs. I think Jaime King may be like that.  I realize public appearances are necessary, but so many are more about the publicity rather than the work.

    The side-boob problem takes this into tacky.  I would expect a Playboy bunny to wear this at a dinner.  Other than the slutty side-boob issue, the color and cut are good.

    I don’t think anyone I know would ever call me a prude, but even I think that dress is a bit vulgar with those wide open sides. I’m sure she’s got her shit taped up under there, but still. It looks as if a stiff breeze would put her tatas on full display.
