    THOSE SHOES. <3

  • Amy Ellinger

I want one of those shoes on a shelf in my room.  Beautiful!  She looks cute, but in some, like her feet hurt.

  • sockandaphone

SO MUCH WANT for those shoes

  • moppet

I think every piece here is just adorable. And yet, maybe not coming together as well as it should? I feel as if that skirt should be a skosh longer. Just me?

    • moppet

Also, maybe I wouldn’t have tucked in the top? I don’t know…there’s nothing WRONG wrong here, but it all feels like it needs slight adjusting.

      • http://twitter.com/Kathy_Marlow Kathy Marlow

I think if the top didn’t have the beading, it would work, but with it beaded and tucked in, it looks to heavy for that floaty skirt

        • http://www.facebook.com/people/Lucía-Gavello/1253586868 Lucía Gavello

If the skirt was gone and she was wearing skinny jeans the whole look would be perfect for me. It’s a pretty skirt but both the shoes (fierce!) and the top are to heavy for it, and the pattern doesn’t really go with anything else.

          • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1401197785 Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

Yes! I sort of like it, but something was just off. I think the shoes (fab as they are) don’t work and untuck the top. So close, Blake, so close.

    • http://twitter.com/janedonuts Jane Donuts

No. This is all wrong and way too much – those shoes with that skirt are tragic.

  • Patricia Gillett

What’s up with the hair? Seriously.

    • http://twitter.com/Alloyjane Alloy Jane

Ugh, I just want to shave her head.  Love the shoes though.

    • http://twitter.com/TheRedZavodnik Ginger

That’s “Getting Your Makeup Done” hair.  I guess the hairstylist was on a smoke break?

  • lbl

I just love all these colors together.

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

I just don’t get it. I think this look is terrible.

Some of the individual pieces are ok, but all together? NO.

    • random_poster

I agree. Together these are way too much.

  • SapphoPoet

Turquoise and orange are my favorite colors and I love all these pieces separately. But somehow this isn’t coming together for me; I think there’s a bit too much going on in each element for it all to blend (purse, I’m looking at you). Nice try, though.

    • LesYeuxHiboux

       I am also a purse-blamer

  • nannypoo

She looks like she accidentally got someone else’s clothes.

  • Sobaika

I WOULD CUT A BITCH FOR THOSE SHOES.

  • Kristin McNamara

Is that Barry Watson in the background of the first photo, holding an iced coffee?

  • frannyprof

I crave those shoes. The whole look is super cute, actually. Very Carrie Bradshaw.

    • Scarlet39

I think it’s a little too Carrie Bradshaw.

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

I think she sees herself as the next generation of Carrie Bradshaw, and she is sorely mistaken in that assumption.

  • formerlyAnon

Top + skirt + shoes are awesome. The purse is good, but not sure it works with the ensemble. But then, I’m matchy-matchy.

Top is the stand-out piece, for me.  Shoes are beautiful but look even more painful than the average.

    • MilaXX

No you are correct, that bag does not go with that outfit. It’s fighting for attention against the pattern and colors of the skirt & top. The shoes have a smaller detail and pick up the colors in the skirt.

  • jw_ny

I totally dig the shoes, but man if she doesn’t look like she’s in pain in the one shot…(snicker)  Also, I don’t think the shoes go with the outfit…too high for such a casual and easy, breezy look.  love the color combinations …dig the purse too. skirt is too long.

Oh my GOD, I take back everything bad I said about Louboutins. Christ on a cracker, those are gorgeous.

It doesn’t work that well all together but I’m too distracted by the shoes to care.

  • imakeart

I don’t feel so bad about my roots now.  If she can get away with it….

  • MilaXX

Cute look but the bag clashes badly.

  • MemHey

skirt length + print + heels + tucked in top = ladies brunch at the country club. mimosa or mint julep?

    • formerlyAnon

Oh, I dunno. In the circles in which those shoes move I think they might also offer you a mojito. ;-)

  • RzYoung

I love it all! It’s so 70s and breezy looking. Love love

  • RobertBestBarbie

Each piece on its own is lovely, but altogether it’s just too much.  The bag is cute but very busy, and the hot pink in it hurts my eyes.  I hate the drawstring on the skirt waist, because with the top tucked in, I feel the need for a belt.  And I get the shoes, but I think they are a bit much for what seems to be a casual look. The top and the skirt with a cute belt (no drawstring) and some super cute sandals, would have had me at hello.

  • allj

Fresh and deeply adorable! Well done, Miss Lively!

  • http://www.lippsisters.com/ Deborah Lipp

    OH THAT BAG!

  • VicksieDo

If you’re going to wear the dyed blonde hair, keep it up!  If you can afford those shoes, you can get your hair done.

  • http://twitter.com/samisblond Sam Donovan

I saw ‘Savages’ over the weekend, and this is EXACTLY how her character would have dressed herself.  But she looks utterly amazing, so hey: credit where credit is due.

Also, she looks so much fresher when she tones down the eye make up.

  • http://profiles.google.com/alison.sigman Alison Sigman

The skirt is a weird length, but damn I’m impressed at her accessorizing skills. They’re getting better. I bet a lot of stylists would have used nude or black but the blue is inspired. It helps that those shoes are totally kickass.

  • afabulous50

    Hiddy…

  • RebeccaKW

I have been in love with those shoes (and all versions of them) since the first time I saw them.  I don’t like them with this.  All the patterns are fighting.

I like the shirt, but it doesn’t go with that skirt.  Color-wise, yes, but not style-wise.  It also shouldn’t be tucked in and looks so much better with a fitted bottom to balance the flowy top.  And how high is the waist on that skirt?  Also the purse was the wrong choice.

  • ChaquitaPhilly

THE HAIR, THE HAIR, THE HAIR!
    The rest looks good though.

  • kimmeister

She’s on the Gossip Girl set . . . doesn’t that mean that the Wardrobe dept styled her?  Or did she dress herself and just sashayed in to say hi?

  • http://twitter.com/emilyf007 emily

why are her roots always so tragic?

    • formerlyAnon

I am reliably informed that it’s an intentional “look.”

      Inexplicable, I know.

  • granddelusion

That is one busy outfit! Way too much going on here. Lose two of the prints. Also, time to get your roots done, girl.

  • crash1212

That’s a perfect outfit right there. I love the entire thing – all parts. I love how the delicate beading on the delicate fabric of the top makes it drape ever so delicately. Those shoes are to die.

    • l_c_ann

By tucking in that delicate beading, the waistline has probably ruined that blouse for a second wearing.  Not that she would wear it a second time, but just saying……

  • melanie0866

Love the shoes but I think I used to wear that outfit to work in 1989

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1241487378 Lauren Lynch Fox

Right? I thought the same thing! She looks like any girl walking around at lunch time. Guess we all want to be a real girl sometimes…

  • marilyn

Between the skirt, top, shoes and purse, they don’t work together.  Remove any one of the pieces and substitute it with one that goes with the remaining 3, and you have a look.  This is not a big deal since she is not working.  This is her own free time.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Julie-Chase/731391326 Julie Chase

I want the purse, the top, and the shoes, but the skirt is murdering this look for me.

  • guest2visits

If she’s going with those shoes she should forget the bag, it’s just too much. And it looks like the top needs to be worn
over the skirt, not tucked. The dark roots are pretty bad looking. Not her best look.

  • LambeeBaby

None of the pieces work together. What throws everything off is the shoes. BoHo skirt and top may have work with a casual sandal but not those groovy Bollywood pumps. No way.
