Gorgeous. I know not everyone’s a lace fan, but that dress is beautiful. She hit nearly every note, just not the mermaid hair. Not loving the coral eye makeup either.

    • TheOriginalLulu

Agreed, what a beautiful dress. Not your Grandma’s lace.

I agree. I’m not a big fan of lace, but she got it just right here.

But the makeup, Emmy. What are you DOING?

  • Isana Leshchinskaya

    she always turns it out.

    She looks great. Perfect length!

  • LesYeuxHiboux

She’s taken the mermaid hair to new, Disney-esque heights and the black overlay reads a little apron-y, but she looks lovely. She almost got out of here without me picking on her until I noticed the makeup. Pink cheeks, red lips, and orange eyes? Good grief, the circus is in town. She looks lovely as long as the eye avoids her face. If that isn’t damning with faint praise…

    • Kristin McNamara

Ahh shucks. I didn’t see the apron-effect until I just read that. Now it’s all I can see. Despite that, it is still a pretty dang beautiful dress though.

  • TheOriginalLulu

Agreed, what a beautiful dress. Not your Grandma’s lace.

  • SophieCollier

The dress and shoes are great!  I wish she’d gone for a little bit dressier hair and makeup, but she’s still a head-turner.

Love the black and white effect.

  • Vlasta Bubinka

Hmmmmm…. looks like a nightgown in a J. Geils Band video.

    • Imasewsure

THANK YOU!! I’m not feeling it all either… except in a J Geils kind of way… you nailed it!

The dress looks great, but I don’t like her lipstick. I almost never like the lipstick she wears.

  • MilaXX

Hate the mermaid hair, love the outfit.

  • Tatiana Luján

Mermaid hair and all, she looks so pretty.

  • NC_Meg

I love the whole look except the lipstick. That is such an odd color. Still, she is just SO pretty.

  • formerlyAnon

She wears it well, but I don’t get why one would want to. Unless, of course, after Atlanta burned all one was left with were lace tablecloths and lace curtains.

  • VicksieDo

    Luv.It.

  • nannypoo

I hate lace and I hate mermaid hair, but they both look great on her.

  • RobertBestBarbie

She’s so pretty she can hardly do wrong.  But I do agree about the Mermaid hair.  Everything else is flawless, to me…even the makeup.

  • VioletFem

That is a very pretty dress. Don’t know what TLo’s aversion is to it but when done well, it can look very elegant.

  • Elisa_G

Great dress. The black on white effect transforms the lace into a graphic design, makes this look modern and crisp, two terms I never associate with lace.

Also, it’s the exact right length, waist hits where it should, proportions are great. Just wish she’d changed the hair.

  • guest2visits

I actually love this. I’m just put off by Emmy’s choice of lipstick. Orange is a difficult lip color to wear; and this looks Halloween-y
with the black and white dress.  I prefered the model’s lip color and shoes.

  • RzYoung

This girl is classy, I like her.

  • Samantha Irene

Looks great on her – wish she’d worn the models shoes – and perhaps a cuff or some other adornment besides the earrings.

  • Lilithcat

Very pretty, though I’d have gone for a lighter-weight shoe, like a strappy sandal (thin straps, not the clunkers the model’s wearing).

  • jmorino08

That dress fits her like a glove — in a good way (take note HEIDI!!) — but I’m over the one shoulder hair thing.

She is a gorgeous woman but this does nothing for her (except highlight her tiny waist).  Ugh for lace, ugh for that slash of red across her mouth, and ugh for ankle strap shoes.  Don’t mind the “mermaid” hair at all—at least with that volume of hair pushed over to one side, the top of the dress is not totally obscured.

  • kimmeister

It’s a flattering shape, but that is entirely too much lace in one look.

  • http://twitter.com/dixielou8 Ashley

    Lovely!

  • NICHOLAS PASQUALE

A couple of small details are off but she looks pretty amazing here.

  • MissAnnieRN

Girl!  There is some black mold growing on your skirt!  I think that shit is noxious!

  • TAGinMO

Pretty freaking fabulous, tip to toe. Borderline WERQ-worthy.

Would have preferred a less “tomato” and more “fire engine” on the lip color, but that’s a minor quibble.

  • Susan Crawford

Great dress for her! She looks stunning. I would prefer a more subtle red for her lips, but she has definitely got this look down.

  • http://twitter.com/nonchalantanna Anna

I see what she is going for here, but without accessories and shoes that pose a stark contract to the dress, this just looks like too much lace. The model looks much better because of the difference in texture and form to balance out what is otherwise a doily.

  • Cat_In_A_Hat

Hmmm… It fits her beautifully but that is one hell of a lot of lace. Also, she should probably steer clear of orange eye shadow. This would appear to be a rare misstep for Miss Emmy.
