The glasses look fun and adorable. The rest of the ensemble blows…

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=751285857 Sally Brownson

Love everything about it. She looks like she just went shopping in Italy and wanted to show off all the things she got there to her girlfriends. It’s great :)

    • Jill_3

I also love it! This is what I like to pretend I look like on vacation, easy and breezy and classic as I frollick through the Tuscan countryside. Of course, I never do, but… sigh. In my dreams.

  • ghopping

Dress not flattering her… Needs a belt? And those sandals… ouch

    • Jessica O’Connell

I know…I don’t understand how all of her outfits tend to make her look so thick wasted when we all know she is anything but! It’s very cute it just needed something to make it more flattering. It could have worked if she had just thrown a belt of something in there.

    • BazoDee

Exactly – proportions are not working here!

    • AmandaCathleen

That’s just what I was thinking. A belt would have made a huge difference here. This is so close—it’s fun, it’s summery, it’s cute. I *want* to love it, but the detailing is off.

      • http://twitter.com/crush_onyou crush on you

This. I think she got the ‘colorful glasses’ idea from Darren Criss. Everything is beautiful on its own, but all together… not flattering on her. I do love that she takes these risks with really colorful patterns though. Maybe platform heels would have helped. Pity it doesn’t work.
BTW, I want the blue and green version, so cute!

  • joancarol

Cute dress but I don’t like dark lipstick on her. And those sunglasses, though fab, are unflattering to her face.

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

I love it! The dress is cute and summery, and I love the print. Also, major kudos for not wearing nude pumps. The sandals are cute and casual, and work perfectly with the dress. I usually hate the way that she dresses, but this look is great.

  • http://twitter.com/Kathy_Marlow Kathy Marlow

I think the only thing I don’t like about the dress is the waist, it looks like it is hitting her in the wrong spot.  I do like the dress in theory and the accessories.  Love the lip!  and the sunglasses

  • MilaXX

Either the dress needs a belt or the bottom of it is too big on her. Love the sunglasses.

  • Lisa Dugan

She looks really adorable. The sandals are cute and I’m inclined to hate the sunglasses but they’re really fun.  I’m just not sure about the dress.  It photographs as if it’s a cartoon superimposition over her body.  It’s interesting but the cap sleeves aren’t great for her and a belt may have helped.

  • DaringMiss

The dress needs to be more fitted to her.  Flat sandals were the wrong choice here.  A peeptoe wedge would have given her a better leg line without sacrificing comfort.

  • HomeOfficeGirl

Typically I would hate the print, but she’s making it work.  Typically I would hate the red lip but again – making it work!  Gotta say I pretty much love this.

  • SewingSiren

If only this dresses cost about $25 , I would totally buy the green one, with the straw bag, the printed platforms, and the turquoise and red bandeau head wrap too.

  • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

The skirt is precisely the wrong length for her. It needs to come up about 1 and a half inches, so it clears her knee.

    • http://twitter.com/MajorBedhead MajorBedhead

Agreed. Skirt needs to be shorter and the waist needs to be nipped in a bit. I’m not crazy about it because it looks like something you could buy at Target but I’m sure it’s thousands of dollars.

      • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Course it is!  Its hand painted, ferchrisakes

        • http://twitter.com/MajorBedhead MajorBedhead

I saw that, but still. It looks like dresses I’ve seen at Target. I don’t think Prada was going for that.

          • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Agreed.  Apart from the fact that this is a hand painted textile, there is really nothing out of the common run about this dress.  It could be any old sun dress found at Ross Dress For Less, or Dress Barn, for that matter.

          • Flooby

@twitter-15514692:disqus I’m so glad you said that- it’s exactly what I was thinking!  I’ve seen this Prada print before and it screams “Target” to me.  It’s got that obnoxious loud palette that all cheap clothes have.

          • GillianHolroyd

wow, I’ve got to get to Target stat. I LOVE these prints.

  • gabbilevy

She looks cute and totally normal. Except that is a HAND PAINTED PRADA DRESS. Oy, celebrities. The minute we start to think maybe you’re just like us, we find out you’re still nothing like us.

  • http://eclectictsunami.blogspot.in/ Cassie

I think she looks freaking adorable. Her demure, girlish way of dressing can look a little stuffy sometimes, so it’s great to see her looking so youthful and colorful and fun. The dress isn’t the most flattering shape, true, but she’s slim enough that it doesn’t really matter. Not everything has to be streamlined, anyhow.

  • mshesterp

Makes her look thick and square, something I’ve never associated with Ms. Agron.  No thanks!

  • Larkin21

I think she looks great. The dress and sunglasses really suit her and her makeup looks great too. Her hair is a bit flat but still pretty.

  • belfebe

I love the dress, hair and makeup.  It needed different shoes.

  • jw_ny

Hate the lipstick with such a summery, casual, daytime dress and shoe.  With the sunglasses it’s all too matchy.  A few inches off the hem would be better.  Probably it’s another borrowed dress that can’t be altered tho…

  • frannyprof

Love the dress, but hate how it looks on her. She is so tiny, but the sleeves make her arms look fat and the cut makes her waist look thick. Such a cute girl, but so many mistakes all the time.

  • http://korilian.livejournal.com/ korilian

That hem length really needs a good heal to even out her proportions.

  • MinkaL

It’s a really sweet dress, but just not for her. Her legs aren’t exactly slender and where it hits her makes her look bottom heavy. And the way the shoulders are cut is not flattering to her arms. Still, it’s a cute dress, just not for her body type. Also, the lipstick color is way too dark and the sunglasses are super douchey. Loving her new hair color though.

  • crash1212

Not in love with the lip color, but all the rest is very nicely done indeed.

  • Vlasta Bubinka

Congrats! You win the assertively unflattering award du jour! Now, step on up, Miu Miu dress, and get your DVR copy of the Marines Global Force for Good commercial!

  • minnye

    Cap sleeves are the work of the devil… especially with that smocked neckline {shudder}

  • http://twitter.com/stellaphone Stella Zawistowski

See, if I didn’t know she was a celeb with a celeb body, I’d think, “Oh, that’s a cute dress on that average-sized woman.” But we all know she’s not an average-sized woman, which means the dress needs to go bye-bye.

  • colleenjanel

She needs a belt, a sheer lipgloss, and just a hint of a heel on those sandals. And a bangle or statement ring.

  • TheOriginalLulu

    Girl That’s Not Your Dress.

  • Sara__B

Belt needed. Other than that, she looks chic and summery, and completely appropriate for the event.

  • MissAnnieRN

I want to like this way more than I actually like it.  I think it looks better on the mannequin when grouped with other dresses of it’s collection.  Like, maybe I just want all 3 hand-painted fabrics in frames for my office because it’s all white and black and crazy colors here and there.  Yeah.  Maybe Prada will send me some swatches and I can get right on that framing project ;)

  • http://twitter.com/lenabena_ Elena

    Love. Gimme those sunnies.

  • http://twitter.com/MandySCG MandyJane

She looks great. Love the sandals and the sunglasses.

  • formerlyAnon

What is the point of being young-mainstream-actress-thin & -pretty if it doesn’t give one the leeway to wear the less-than-optimally flattering?

For a casual look, this is awesome. With heels it’d be perfect for a mildly dressy summer occasion.

Total win. I, personally covet the sunglasses. Not having young-actress looks, I couldn’t really get away with the dress without looking [too] matronly.

  • marilyn

Apparently boring is the new look.  Girls and women were wearing this dress in the 1950′s and 1960′s.  So what?

  • LesYeuxHiboux

Too cute for words. I think the pattern on that dress is fug, though I’m sure someone on Earth likes it, but fit and proportion are working great. The sandals and shades are adorable with the dress, and the hair/makeup looks good.

    • sagecreek

      I like it :)

  • Claire Stanton

    Of course.

  • quiltrx

    Cute, casual dress.  Looks vacation-y!

  • TAGinMO

    Comically unflattering.

  • PhillipWilde

That textile is ridiculous.  That’s all I have to say.

  • l_c_ann

Prada inspired by less than expensive 1950′s house dresses, mostly used for cleaning and cooking.

  • RzYoung

    Goddamn gorgeous!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=843678565 Jackie Belt

My first thought?  Ooooooo can I get that at Target?

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jessica-TallGirl-Freeman/1043623567 Jessica TallGirl Freeman

I think the dress is too mature for her.  It looks like Betty Draper’s dress.  Love the neck up.  She’s just adorable.

  • ChaquitaPhilly

Remember what they always told us about horizontal stripes? Well, ITS TRUE!

  • http://www.facebook.com/D.D.D.Dino Dino Bonačić

    this is utterly adorable. <3

  • LambeeBaby

LOVE the idea but I think it should be a tad shorter and I don’t like the horizontal print at the waist. It makes her look larger than she is. Cute sandals and shades.

  • guest2visits

I love it. It all looks very pretty on her.
    I’m partial to the green one with the painted scene; I’d like to see someone in that. Maybe Diane Kruger, Zooey, or Taylor S.;
all different looks for the same summer dress.

  • NurseEllen

She is all Mediterranean summertime fun.  Cute!

  • pugluv

    Super cute!!!

  • NICHOLAS PASQUALE

    Gwen Stefani + 25 pounds.

  • LuluBI

Darling! Love the whole thing – hair, makeup, dress, sandals – perfect summer look. WERQ

  • http://surelysonsy.blogspot.com/ Jessica | Surely Sonsy

i actually think it’s the cap sleeve and neckline that’s doing bad things to her proportions here. a scoopneck and/or sleeveless iteration would have been much better for her, waistline and all.

  • TieDye64

How fun are those shades? Love them. The dress? Not so much, makes her look thick.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001998855370 Fatima Siddique

Exactly! It does nothing for her silhouette.

  • melanie0866

    Love!  Wish it were shorter.

  • siriuslover

I like the green one on the mannequin better.

  • poketom

Pairing a Miu Miu anything with a Prada anything is waking up and saying, “I’m going to look obnoxious and adorable today!”

  • SapphoPoet

I love it! She looks summery and comfortable. Love the colors.

  • BrightsideSusan

    Love it all.
