      My thoughts exactly. Who wears black tights in June – almost JULY? Not something I’d consider part of the standard 4th of July wardrobe.

        I wonder if she’s worried that her legs are not slim enough for Hollywood standards or something.  I think she has pretty hair and skin.  But the heaviness of the rest – sheesh!

    Aww poor Zooey. This dress makes her look so very bottom-heavy. And then there’s those shoulders. MAYBE the dress would have been OK without the tights, but my guess is no. And is it just me, or has her change in make up been for the worse? It is too harsh for her face, and ages her somehow. :( She’s a naturally pretty girl with a beautiful complexion. Not sure she needs all the stuff that people are throwing on her.

    Wear your hair up if you have all that ladidah on your shoulders, darling.  And AWAY with the dark tights!!!  It’s a hundred degrees here, sweetheart, and just looking at them is making me sweat even more.

    Love the dress and the color is dreamy on her. It’s Zooey and she’s gonna wear her hair down…so, let her live people. As for the tights – I must confess, I wear black tights all year round. I’m thinking they’re my security blanket and if I’m in a dress (unless it’s a floaty full skirted summery type of deal) I’m in tights. So. I get it. Zooey and I are equally unfashionable! It’s like we’re sisters.

    She was TERRIBLE as a guest judge on SYTYCD. Not that they were actually judging. It was the “introduce this season’s dancers” episode so it was all just praise, praise, praise, and we can’t wait to see what you do. But she was TERRIBLE at THAT!

    ENOUGH WITH THE BLACK TIGHTS ALREADY ZOOEY!! What the hell, do you have like horrible sun spots all over your legs or something? What gives?

      I hate that they’re doing celebrity judges. And they never actually judge, they just smile and prattle. I had some hope for Zooey since she has a teeny dance background but she was pretty awful. Gaga, Katie Holmes, and Kenny Ortega were the worst ever though.

       Agree, she was even worse than Katie Holmes last season, who I thought had a lock on worst judge EVER.

    Enh, I feel like with those puffy sleeves, she should have put her hair up. There’s entirely too much going on in that area.
    It’s an ok dress, but isn’t this a bit too heavy for late june? Is this a new thing now? To dress for the wrong season? Are we going to see summer dresses and sandals in January?

      My thought too, but then I remember-she’s always wearing little teeny shorts and skirts on the New Girl and no hose.  Or at least not black hose.  So, I don’t think so.  I think it’s just part of her thing, with the bangs and the ‘tee-hee’ posing.

      I’m not super comfortable in shorter dresses but I have other light grey and white tights in my arsenal. With that said, I would never, ever wear them in the summer (it’s 107 mother effing degrees today.) What I’m trying to say is tights come in other colors, Zooey! Or they even make sheer hose!

    Maybe she wears black tights in the few days before her legs need to be waxed again?
    I know someone who has VERY thick and dark leg hair and it is obvious before it’s long enough to wax – and shaving is a no-go as it makes her break out.
    And not all women feel confident wearing dress pants – for me it’s jeans or skirts, even shorts need to be skort-ish to feel OK in.

    Any-who, maybe these continual dark-tights girls have a reason for it.

    I saw this episode of SYTYCD.  She looked really cute on TV, except for the prom like shoulder adornment, and of course, the black tights were not visible.  What is up with black tights in the summer?  It’s a bit like wearing leather in the summer time.

    I love Zooey. This is a complete do-over. It all looks like October, not June. I know she has a Rimmel contract, but does anyone else think her make-up always looks shitty? I don’t consider Rimmel to be “cheap” as far as drug-store make-up goes, but IMO it always looks cheap on her.

    For the life of me, I cannot conceive of what this woman actually looks like with her hair up off her face and no makeup on. She always looks like a toddler’s drawing, from the rat’s-nest hair to the gloppy makeup to the twee clothes.
