I like everything but the shoes

  • crash1212

I think she looks great. Choices of jewelry (and lack of necklace) are perfect. I love the simple pointy-toe pump and the jacket works well with the dress. That color is great on her and her make-up is soft and pretty as is her hair. Nice job SJP!

It would be better without the jacket (especially because those slightly-too-short sleeves bother me). Other than that, she’s doing a pretty good job of making that hem length work

    • kimmeister

The sleeves allow her to show off the bracelets.

  • olsonam

A velvet jacket in late spring? Matching bracelets on each wrist? Ombre hair? The pattern on her dress is too heavy for late spring. But other than that she looks great. I dislike the ombre hair the most. That is one fad I thought would be over by now.

Pretty pretty pretty!  I’m kinda surprised she doesn’t wear more L’wren scott pieces- that slim silhouette is lovely on her.

  • marilyn

She is way too old to have the teenybopper haircut.  The face does not go with the hair.  She is a great dresser, and generally has good fashion sense, but she needs to give up her beach girl ‘do.  In this case, it looks messy.

I think her clothes look fine. She kinda has a sad look on her face. If I had my picture taken everywhere, I’m sure they’d catch me in a mood now and then!

  • Addicted2Glamour

It seems muted by SJP standards – she’s really been bringing the Cray to the Carpet lately – until I realise she’s rocking the Hell out of that Two-Toned hair. LOVE HER.

  • jw_ny

All good…she looks soft and pretty.   This dress and color is flattering on her.  I’d still prefer about 6 inches of her hair chopped off though.

    • 3boysful

Agreed.  And this look would be improved by a smile and a brighter lip.

But props to SJP for lightening up on the kohl–maybe she’s reading TLo!

i hope the jacket is silk velvet cos, if it is, it’s really gorgeous. it would need that softness to it, though, to really get there. a thicker or a cotton or rayon velvet & the effect would be lost. particularly w/ that, i dunno, lightly flocked light brocade-y dress [i always forget the name of the fabric cos it's one i just dont like. l'wren, though, i think loves it. she seems to use it a lot, unless i am too sleepy to remember correctly].

Love the blazer but hanging open it kind of obliterates her figure (and it seems heavy for June, no?). The dress is fine, hair and makeup pretty enough, she could lose a bracelet. I hate her witch pumps and the way they are making her feet scream for mercy.

  • Nonnah

    Is it fall already?

    • LuisaNL

right?! Nothing says summer like a velour jacket…

The dress and blazer are ok, but man that’s a wintery look.

ETA: A simple pointy-toe shoe doesn’t give me the twitches like it does so many other people. I like them.

  • MilaXX

It’s not exactly a summer outfit, but it looks okay and appropriate for the event.

  • quiltrx

I’m fairly certain that dress would be werq’d much better by L’Wren herself.

  • guest2visits

Pretty everything; but the hair… I think the coloring needs to be amended, and maybe a little more sophisticated styling.

  • aristida_girl

Love! She should go for simple and elegant more often, it suits her well..

  • Lina_bee

Jacket looks a bit short in the cuff — but that velvet also looks fabulously pettable and I want it really a lot. The teal is lovely, if not particularly her color.

“Forget Me Not” Alzheimer Asotiation Gala. Horrible pun.

    • littlemac8

I know, I recoiled when I saw it was an Alzheimer’s event.  Tasteless!  And my mother died of Alzheimer’s.

  • RzYoung

    Very very nice, very nice

    Yawn.

  • AlexisPayne

    Great look

  • CassieLee22

    Fantastic

  • Judy_J

If I had veiny feet like hers, I’d wear hosiery, or shoes that didn’t exacerbate the problem.  But that’s just me.

  • Sally Brownson

    I love the jacket color.

  • ChiKat67

Is that a velvet jacket? Was it cold in NYC that day?  It’s JUNE!!!

  • allisankelly

I like it all. Even the pointy shoes. This blue is pretty.

  • formerlyAnon

Perfect. If you accept that that is her hairstyle. I think she’s aging out of it, but nobody’s looking at me for fashion advice.

  • Judih1

Boring. Not appropriate for this time of year. Looks like something to wear during the Xmas holidays

  • Louise Bryan

Well done, SJP!  You look put together and appropriate.

  • CQAussie

I love it all head to toe!  Best she’s looked in a while, I’d say…
