    She is a beautiful woman. She doesn’t need all that Photoshop.

    There are no shadows or lines in the fabric of the upper portion of her dress. Looks so fake.

      It’s the weirdest thing to look at the enormous cleavage created by those sweater-puppies and not see a corresponding shadow below them.

      That retoucher should be FIRED.

    The second dress is fantastic on her. The first is too reminiscent of the opening credits of SATC, which SJP was too old for at the time and Salma is too old for now. Pretty much anyone older than Emma Stone is too old for that dress.

    Pink dress photo is unappealing because it looks so unreal.  She looks much better in the 2nd dress, though there’s something about it that makes the boobs look fake. (ETA: I don’t know why that bugs me a little, here, but it does. Maybe because I think it brings down the total look?).

    The cover is just silly with all the pink and ruffles and boobs and photo-shopping. The second would be perfect IF they hadn’t chosen to over-accentuate the cleavage. We know — Selma’s got a great rack. It’s okay if she puts it away once in a while.

      It fits, but for some reason Salma and/or her stylist decided to push her boobs up like that. If they sat normally this would be a much better look.

    InStyle is just addicted to the Photoshop! What is their deal? I can never recognize who is on the cover.
    Although I certainly could this time and I hate the look. The second look is so much more, um, fitting to a woman of her stature. Serioulsy, pink ruffles? She looks silly.

    gorgeous dress! gorgeous dress! apologies, i love pink [especially pastel], corsets & ruffles. &, yep, some of my family did make fun of me for being this sort of person. my mother, who was a doctor, just found it inexplicable.

    I suspect there’s a bit of photoshopping on that cover photo and in real life I wouldn’t like it on her. The Bottega on the other hand, looks pretty good.

    I think Salma’s stunning good looks are what make just about everything she wears look fantastic too.
    Even the pink corseted tutu dress that was clearly made for a life size Barbie doll.

      I thought her right upper arm was the worst of the photoshopping.  The waist is pretty bad, too, though.  What I don’t understand is, why do the stars put up with being photoshopped to death like this??  Do they have any say in it at all?

    The problem with that hideous cover is not her cleavage, because she does have some impressive cleavage. The problem is that her waist is the same width as her neck! What an awful Photoshop job. I wish to hell they’d stop trying to make all women look like life-size Barbie dolls.
