    Those pants! WHYYYYY?

  • M_E_S

    WAT

  • Livia Llewellyn

    Prometheus, are you seeing this?

  • Sobaika

    Are the people serious??

  • JasmineAM

As you can see, Mr. Lincoln is facepalming in disgust right behind her. Good call Mr. President/Vampire Hunter.

“I looked, and behold, it was Death, saying, ‘Come and see’. And I saw… and Hell followed me.”

  • In_Stitches

Maybe when she saw how tacky the trailer for the movie was, she figured she should match?  That still doesn’t excuse those pants.  Maybe in a cropped skinny you might be able to find a certain chicness…but a 90′s flare, no.

  • TAGinMO

As cray-cray as the pants are, I really can’t say they’re all that unflattering. All in all, she looks good.

    • ChaquitaPhilly

Totally Agree! In style, NO but good looking? OH YEAH!

    • JasmineAM

I think they give her stumpy legs.

    • http://twitter.com/nansense nancy aronson

      I find the shirt fetching.

OMG.  Taking after her mom in the style department!

    • julnyes

       Who is her Mom?
and while we are at it – who is she?

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_64HSRZWCSJ5RBFGCWDLFQOICYM G

         Her mom is Meryl Streep.

        • julnyes

okay – in that case – she is wearing her Mom’s clothes without question.

She is the Streep-Spawn that can act (the one from The Good Wife and Off The Map, not the one from Smash).

        • allisankelly

Wait, they aren’t the same girl? I thought it was the same Mary Louise spawn in all that. Hmmm. My IMDB skills are lacking.

          • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=720742723 Sarah Winningham

The other one is named Grace and has a more conventional, less Streepy nose.

    • allisankelly

I think she took it out of her mom’s closet!

  • TieDye64

    Oh my. Yikes.

  • jmorino08

    Who the?!? What the?’b

  • holdmewhileimnaked

i kind of like the pants even though i hate brocade, dont much like leopard, & think theyre both too heavy & too long. the top i could live w/o–it’s apparently another from the dripping skin infection collection, only somewhat more subtle this time [at least on someone w/ very light skin]. the rest of her looks fine. i cant imagine she remembers the 60s or 70s so getting them wrong is, you know, not even a quibble.

    edited to add:
oto[rather wretched]h, that nail polish is giving the skin infection no help.

    • Warmheartedgirl Seattle

Yep, that nail polish is just hideous – was she trying to match the tacky pants?   Yikes.

  • jilly_d

    ack! the makeup!

  • Call me Bee

Sheeesh that’s a lot of pant.  These recent huge bellbottoms must be backlash for all the skinny pants.  And actually–I’m happy she’s not wearing leopard skinny pants.  Other than that–she’s looking pretty…tasteful!

Oh COME ON. I just ate, there should be a warning on this.

  • kimmeister

Those pants are hilariously awful.  They make her thighs look massive.

  • Lilak

Oh Mamie, you went and did an abomination like this for your beloved’s premiere?  Shame!
(Somebody correct me if they’re not still an item — if they’re not, then this was vengefully intentional?)

  • http://twitter.com/Kathy_Marlow Kathy Marlow

OH GOD, the apple didn’t fall far from the Streep tree, did it??

  • Vlasta Bubinka

How many drag queens did she wrestle to score this look? I think this look would’ve been perfect for Donna Summer’s memorial service. It’s so very MacArthur Park…

  • http://twitter.com/jennsaysmeow Fifi LaRoux

    I don’t even…

  • MilaXX

Hello 1979!  This could almost work if her hair/makeup weren’t so wrong and the pants were hemmed just a skoosh.

  • Lina_bee

Oh, bless her socks for wearing pants. Even THESE pants, which are kind of epic and call to mind Bowie in 1975.  They’re so OTT that I think I love them!  Also, totally appropriate for THIS premiere, amirite?

  • TSkot

    Horrid.  Head to toe, H.O.R.R.I.D.

  • nannypoo

I like this on her. Sure, the cut of the pants is a little odd, and the nail polish is dreadful, but the top is pretty and the fabrics are OK. She has an interesting and beautiful face. I wonder why we don’t see her featured more often.

  • http://twitter.com/SparklyCasanova UglyCasanova

    Hahahahahah … oh dear.

  • AlexisPayne

No, just no. These belong on a High School dance team in the 90′s.

  • http://twitter.com/delysia_lafosse Delysia LaFosse

Oh dear. Yellow nails with gold leopard-spot pants? Or, more to the point: gold leopard-spot pants? Also, that hair and makeup isn’t doing her any favors. The top might be interesting if it were paired with something less heinous.

  • marilyn

I might buy into this concept if she was going clubbing in a very urban trendy place.  But, the pants have a visible seam at the knee, which makes them look too cheap and tacky to be taken seriously.

There is a trend to retro 80′s and if the pants were constructed better, it might squeek by.

Believe it or not, the wacky pants fabric actually has a direction to the print and the print varies from a large to small version of the pattern.  So, the pant leg was extended at the knee with a piece of fabric cut from a mismatched part of the print.  The seam then calls attention to itself because of the obvious difference in the prints there.  If they were going to make these wacky pants longer, the fabric should have been positioned for cutting so all fabric in the leg is cut in one piece, without the seaming.  It is cheesy to put a seam there anyway, but if you have to do it, at least don’t create a nauseating optical illusion.

I appreciate her sprit here, but she needs better quality clothes since she is being photographed.

  • Funkykatt

Ha, LOVE IT. Now that is something I would wear with some six inch heels and I am five-eleven. I think I have found my muse.

Oh great.  She’s inherited her mothers’ fashion sense.  Here’s hoping she got the talent too.

  • guest2visits

I’m trying… but no.    It’s just not good. Is that a bit of red bra too….. !

    • unbornfawn

      good eye!

  • quiltrx

What an odd look. And that hairstyle is not flattering to her face shape at all.

  • Sara__B

    Oh dear. Those pants.

  • RzYoung

    Don’t like

  • melanie0866

    YIKES.
