White and beige are two things she should never wear.

Lily, send your outfit my way. I’ll be happy to take if off your hands.

It’s the little black jacket even, where is hers?  The hair is too straight, but I like the makeup and the retirement home shoes need to go….along with the skirt..the top is cute.  I could see it with great black pants and she’d look amazing.

  • Lina_bee

Oh, Chanel, no. Lily looks fine-enough, but the Raj-influenced collection does not work at all.

    • lesmaha

      seems costume-y.

I agree. That “color” washes her out. However, the top is also poorly fitted and the outfit could have used better accesorizing.

  • VicksieDo

    Really cute!

  • http://twitter.com/MandySCG MandyJane

I don’t like the skirt at all.

  • formerlyAnon

I like these pieces, even together, but between the hair, the red carpet-photo-foreshortening(?)-effect, and the way the color blends with her skin, a distinctly odd silhouette is created.

Yech.  The whole skirt is weird with that extra petal of fabric hanging down between her knees. That and the color do nothing for her. She’s too pretty to do this.

That is a new kind of terrible.  Coco Chanel is going to come back from the grave just to fix her brand.  Because, this shittery is not Chanel, at. all.

  • guest2visits

I don’t like this one bit. The outfit looks very cheap and the proportions of the top and the skirt are way off.
Looks slightly better on the model becaause at least it’s in context with all the other pieces as a cultural ensemble.

  • Lisa Dugan

That skirt is too overwhelming on her.  I think she can pull of complicated fashion but it’s just too voluminous for her figure.

  • TieDye64

That is waaaaaay too much skirt for her. The shoes are terrible with this.

  • TheOriginalLulu

Enh, the skirt on that dress looks too much like a cloth diaper and I hate the pin-straight hair. Ugly shoes, too.

  • Judy_J

The front of that skirt looks like a cicada.

  • LesYeuxHiboux

    • Judih1

      Lol

  • PaulaBerman

Does Lily know that her satin sheet is all folded up in the front of her skirt?

  • judith traherne

This would’ve looked much better in a saturated jewell colour.

  • Qitkat

    Sumo origami diaper.

  • Hetha Innis

Ouch. And when will pin straight hair go away?

  • MilaXX

Nope. Doesn’t work. In order for that skirt to work he’d need to be taller. If she had kept the pants and lost the skirt she might have had an okay outfit, but that extra piece of fabric pointing at her feet looks fug. The cut of the top doesn’t work with the reworked skirt. Also hate the center part hair and the shoes.

I love it on the model, but that’s due in part to the model’s skin coloring and the accessories. Lily needs this in a different color, with a different hairstyle and accessories with a little more personality.

Think it’s ’bout time for an eyebrow intervention

  • http://twitter.com/jennsaysmeow Fifi LaRoux

This looks like a cater waiter outfit at an Indian wedding.

  • holdmewhileimnaked

no diaper! no diaper! no diaper on anybody appropriating anyone else’s culture! & that is a comment not really about its wearer–who is wearing less the diaper than the chanel by whom the diaper was made–but about, well, we all know who designed it [if you dont care for the word usurped anyway].

  • Isana Leshchinskaya

great in theory, terrible in execution due to proportion and horrible hair.

  • quiltrx

I want to like this, but it needs *something*.  I think I might like it better in a print?

  • http://profiles.google.com/sara.e.munoz Sara Munoz

    That is 100% bad.

  • http://twitter.com/eandh99 eandh

LInda Evangelista wore that actual skirt/legging/boot thing from the runway look to this event, the Fug girls have a pic, it’s even more hideous as a total ensemble.

  • TSkot

    Needs the leggings.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/XZTPYIF64TK3QDEMWUAS3KULFI Ted

she’s lucky because the version on the model is even shittier.

  • http://profiles.google.com/sauchih Sau-Chih Feng

Those are the wrong shoes. She needed some super fierce towering stilettos in a bright color.

I both love her eyebrows and yet find them distracting.

  • SewingSiren

Very pretty. Much better than the original design.

  • Larkin21

The skirt looks good on the model, I think partly because it works with pants. All on it’s own, the shape/hem are just not at all flattering. Not the best color (or lack thereof) on her either.

  • Sally Brownson

I don’t really think the top and the skirt go that well together. They’re not quite the same shade of off-white; if she had gotten the top in a contrasting shade, I think it’d be fine.

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/toodleskitty79?feature=guide AWS

    She’s an escaped mental patient…

  • marilyn

She is too young to wear this.  It does not transition well when a panel of fabric is placed in the front and the pants are removed.  It would have been interesting if she had kept those small touches.  It also might have helped if she had unbottoned the top button on the blouse, as the runway model did.

  • jmorino08

That skirt is all kinds of wrong and what’s with all the eyeliner at this Chanel event?

  • http://www.facebook.com/ali.sharpe.6 Ali Sharpe

    I don’t understand.

  • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

This needed more jewelry than just bracelets and cocktail ring.

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

Also, color anywhere would have been nice. She looks like tissue paper. I feel like some emerald or ruby jewelry could have taken this out of blandville (to reiterate the above point of needing more jewelry) and into somewhere chic and exotic.

Oops, fell asleep trying to form an opinion.
