Helen Hunt… huh. She’s still around? I thought she moved to ashram or something.

  • antheapena

well, it’s nice to see her, didn’t think I liked the messy hair at first but the close up is better, she looks great but she’s slouching plus the dress does not fit well plus not flattering on the tummy. I’m not one for promoting surgery but girls needs her lids lifted!!!!

I was just thinking that she looks a little saggy, but not because she has any actual sagging body parts. She definitely looks like she’d rather be wearing her Snuggie while vegging out on the sofa watching Friends, or whatever the movie star equivalent is.

Would be so killer if she could look happier.

  • Fordzo

I always thought she had one of the best “attainable” bodies in Hollywood.  I think she still might, if she stood up straight.

I know that people are going to comment on her eyes, and I’m already getting defensive for her.  This is what 49 looks like when you haven’t been nipped and tucked and injected to the ends of the earth, people!!  I think she looks great.

    • MilaXX

I don’t mind her eyes, but she may be due for a new hair do.

    • moppet

Not me — my only ding was the hairstyle, which I think drags down her face a bit.

    • Tatiana Luján

But it must be so tiring to have your eyelids like that. My grandmother, who is 70 and doesn’t care about any other of her wrinkles had surgery done seeking confort.

  • MilaXX

This would be okay if she had gone up a size. All that pulling across her middle is not becoming.

Exactly – she looks fantastic, but that dress is making her less so.  One size up would have made it perfect.

  • http://twitter.com/Kathy_Marlow Kathy Marlow

Overall, she looks great.  I think she could have done with a touch more makeup.

  • schadenfreudelicious

considering we have not seen much of her for so long, its refreshing that she still looks like Helen Hunt and has obviously not been nipped and tucked into some odd looking version of herself.  She needs to go up a size and invest in more supportive undergarments, but i think she looks great overall.

  • Judy_S

Nice to see her. I think she looks good. The dress is not really red carpet perfect but it looks comfortable and seasonable.

  • GillianHolroyd

I think her face looks fantastic. Slouching plus halter top makes her bust look droopy though. But wow, giving good face.

  • Lisa Dugan

She looks great. The dress is either a smidge too tight or needed to be yanked down when she got out of the car.

  • http://profiles.google.com/sara.e.munoz Sara Munoz

Helen! Welcome back, you look great!

  • jw_ny

    dull.

a little effort would have been nice.

    hair is tragic.

  • Lina_bee

The wavy hair is a good look for her. The belt on the dress is kind of irritating — it’s just drooping there — and I’m not sure about the weird asphalt crocodile print, but the shape of it suits her. Also, great earrings and good shoe choice.

A bit more make up and a size up on the dress old gal.

  • SapphoPoet

The pulling in the fabric of the dress isn’t attractive, but overall she looks great. So glad she still looks like herself.

  • SignLadyB

Nice to see her. I agree that the dress is a bit tight. Also agree with those who complimented her on her 49 year old Helen Hunt face and ‘attainable’ body. Good work HH, I’ve missed you.

  • clairellis

She has poor posture but she looks good. If she stood up straight it would make a big difference. Oh and the hair…

  • FlamingJune1967

Wow!  I did not think it was possible for a woman in Hollywood to look her age and still look fantastic! With the constant parade of 50 year olds with 30 year old faces, Helen is refreshing and absolutely beautiful!

    • sweetestsith

Agreed! May I look that lovely at 49. I wish her hair & shoes had a little more oomph though, she looks a little sad for the red carpet.

  • nannypoo

A little tug on the dress and it would seem to fit better, her hair is a bit limp, and the belt is pointless, but I think she looks beautiful. She looks like an actual person who got dressed up and is happy to be there.

  • quiltrx

Well, where’d you find her?  I always liked her.  Anyway, the pulling is not attractive…but I think a size up would have made it too big in the bodice.  Maybe just not exactly her dress.  She still looks great, and she needs something that shows that off a little better.

  • teensmom99

Really don’t like this look.  It looks like the kind of effortless, simple dress she used to wear (a la Aniston) but the fit is awful and as the look is so dull.  I like her hair but she needed color–make up, more color in the dress and a more attractive dress that fits better.  Glad she isn’t nipped and tucked but a little color in her clothes/shoes and on her lips would do her a world of good.

    Does not fit her well

  • Jonathan Franklin

I still can’t believe she won an Oscar.  It might even bother me more than Gwyneth Paltrow winning one.

  • deltabronze

She’s not the kind of blonde who can wear black well. She really needs some color.

  • Sara__B

Her awful posture is killing that dress, and her lack of energy is putting me to sleep. ZZZZZZzzzzzz……

  • Imasewsure

It’s like seeing my own clone on the red carpet… and that’s not good… soccer moms unite!!

  • kimmeister

I’m a sucker for that kind of neckline.  Her hair looks like it’s smashed down to the crown of her head.  Zhuzhed up hair + a little bit more eye makeup, and she’d look almost perfect.

  • formerlyAnon

Damn she looks good. Even though this dress is meh at best, and not flattering her here.

And I wish to join those who hate the idea that her eyes “need” fixing.  She is a very attractive woman approaching 50, not everyone, even in the film industry, needs to cling desperately to the illusion (or, as with Ms. Lucci) delusion of 30-something.

Now, she may very well “want” to have her eyes done. If I were her, I’d want to do something about my hair first.

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

I like the dress, but I think it would have benefited from better posture, and a little straightening out by a handler or assistant before she hit the red carpet. And aside from the fact that black lace seems a bit wintery, I think she looks good!

  • marilyn

That is a pretty dowdy dress.  Somehow it makes her look lumpy.  Standing in a black dress in front of a black backdrop does not help.  Although, maybe it was deliberate.  She is a good looking woman in a dowdy dress.

  • kikisayshi

It’s just an ok LBD. She needs something more in her makeup – either a bolder lip or eye or something. And do something with that hair, girl. You’ve still got the looks- use them!

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/toodleskitty79?feature=guide AWS

Horrible posture Helen Hunt.  Okay dress.  Still rockin’ bod.

  • TieDye64

Oh honey, that hair is not your friend. You’re better than that. The dress is okay, but she needs a bit of color and a better fit. More color on the makeup wouldn’t hurt either, but I wholeheartedly love that she’s keeping it real face-wise. Her face actually moves.

  • greyhoundgirl

    Shlumpy.

  • guest2visits

I like the way the dress is fitting her above the belt line; but it got very meh after that.
Seems it would look better much shorter, and a little less snug.  The light sandals are not substantial enough to balance the dress.
She needs simple, elegant heels.  I think she’s looking very nice, love the hair and earrings.

  • ThaliaMenninger

    Lumpy. Icky. No.

  • http://twitter.com/Kikishua CMS

Aww, little belt – why so sad and droopy?

  • enchanted216

The dress is ill fitting across the mid section, sorry to say.  With a more saturated lip, she would look fabulous!  I, too, am happy to see a “real” face on a 49 year old. She is beautiful!

  • jmorino08

Perfect! I was having trouble falling asleep but this take care of that situation just fine. Zzzzzzzz

  • Aurumgirl

I think she looks wonderful, and it’s nice to see her out and about.  She probably would look better in a slightly larger size (maybe just half a size) and her hair looks a little messy and thin (but she is outdoors and it’s not a big fat dressy event), but otherwise, she looks chic and confident.

  • BeeBeauNYC

Lord I haven’t seen her in ages. She looks great (except for the flat hair), but what does she do for a living these days? Live off royalties from her TV show whose name I can’t even recall?

  • anotherkate

Fine, but would it kill her to put some color on her face?

  • Tatiana Luján

I love that her eyebrows aren’t weirdly plucked.
