One of my favorite ES looks of recent days. I like it. I hate those shoes with a passion, but I don’t mind them so much on her. Well done.

    • Snailstsichr

      At least they fit her.

  • http://www.lippsisters.com/ Deborah Lipp

Waitress with her dishrag tucked into her belt and ugly shoes, but the rest is lovely.

    • charlotte

       The shoes have beaks!

    • TieDye64

You nailed it. The shoes need to die a slow and torturous death.

  • http://profiles.google.com/sara.e.munoz Sara Munoz

The shoes that just won’t die.

    However.
I do appreciate that she repeats her shoes. Assuming they actually are hers and she keeps wearing them. Rather than borrowing, giving back, borrowing, giving back, and in the meantime who KNOWS who else has been wearing them.

I am grossed out now by the thought of Community Shoes.

They are borrowed. Her stylist tweeted picture options of her shoes that she had selected for the tour.

So distracted by the shoes, I forgot about the dress. It’s ok. Looks like a bartender or waitress with a towel draped over her belt. But she does look lovely and happy (because Andrew isn’t there?) and that goes a long way.

Does she have an exclusive deal w/ Louboutin? B/c sign me up (excluding those shoes, though)

    Hot damn!

  • almondemy

I would love nothing more than a mega-post of all of Emma Stone’s red carpet outfits, set next to each other like a Project Runaway collection post.  It would be interesting to see the story she has been telling throughout this media tour.  Gents, are you up for it?

  • Hetha Innis

It’s an interesting dress, but it obviously looks like a bar towel draped over the belt…

  • formerlyAnon

She looks fantastic. Even the “just dashed out of the kitchen to get a peek at how backed up the wait list is” towel flounce can be forgiven.

The shoes look better as objets d’art than on, but they are o.k.

    • Pennymac

Was wracking my brain for an appropriate snark about the towel thingie. You nailed it!

  • Patricia Gillett

Why does her stylist not appear to know her damn shoe size?

  • quiltrx

Hair and makeup look pretty, and I’m surprised to say I like the shoes.  Don’t like the flap thing on the front of the dress, or the low pockets.

  • MilaXX

This suits her much better than that fussy, flowered frock. She’s best with clean. simple lines.

  • moppet

I wish she had been dressing like this all along. Not in white dresses with black pumps, of course — but in flattering, unfussy pieces and fresh-faced makeup. I can’t remember everything she’s worn on this interminable trip, but this has to be near the top in terms of attractiveness.

    I like the shoes.

  • NinaBoo

TLo, I will donate $100 to your favorite charity if you go two days without an Emma Stone post.

  • SophieCollier

I think I’ve seen that dress at the mall.  Doesn’t mean it’s a bad dress (it’s actually quite cute.) Nice choice of shoe too.

  • Lina_bee

Lackluster. I hate dresses that look like a waitress has shoved a towel into her apron pocket right after wiping down your table. Also, plastic shoes. Her expression makes me wonder if they’ve hit the final stretch, or if she just stole a really good nap.

  • nannypoo

She looks really pretty here, especially her hair and makeup. The dress is flattering, especially compared to the too-short too-full versions of the gathered skirt that everyone else seems to turn up in. I don’t like the towel or the plastic part of the shoes. I, for one, have Emma Stone Fatigue, but I’m happy to see her looking so pretty at what I hope is near the end of a long publicity run.

  • guest2visits

As far as simple white dresses go; she looks wonderful. Could have easily done without the table napkin over the belt.
The shoes are not terrible with this. There are lots of edgy black shoes that are prettier though.

  • NurseEllen

I am prepared to love any dress with pockets, but this one is pushing my generosity.  And the shoes have really nothing to recommend them.

  • Imasewsure

It looks adorable in the last picture from an angle butkind of frumpy and dull from straight on….nice to see a more natural shade of blond appearing again (although we all want her to be a red head)… Still, props overall….. now go away for awhile!!

did Michelle Obama lend this ensemble to her?

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1241487378 Lauren Lynch Fox

Like the dress without the goofy part that is hanging, but for a movie opening?

    • kimmeister

      It’s a photocall, not a premiere.

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

I LOVE the shoes, but why does it look like she stuck a napkin into her belt and forgot to take it out?

  • Cat_In_A_Hat

So close! This would have been really cute if it weren’t for the dress napkin and the ugly shoes. Seriously, why do people keep wearing them?

  • understateddiva

    overdesigned, JWu.

  • GillianHolroyd

A very sharp look. Perfect for her.

  • kikisayshi

She forgot to leave her napkin back at the restaurant.

  • frannyprof

cute, except that extra flap of fabric over the black waistband reminds me of a waiter. she looks like she’s about to open a wine bottle and offer the cork to someone to sniff.

  • kimmeister

    Hair and makeup look fantastic.

  • TheOriginalLulu

This is really a nice dress on her. Minor quibble: I don’t like that flap of fabric hanging over the belt. Looks like she has a napkin tucked in there.
As a general rule, I hate shoes with clear plastic anywhere on them, so I gotta say nay on those.

I love the way her hair is framing her face here.

  • ThaliaMenninger

Not crazy about the shoes, but she looks the best she’s looked so far on this Spider Man dog and pony show.

  • tereliz

    Well, her hair looks great.

  • Sally Brownson

Cute dress, good hair and makeup, disgusting shoes.

  • Krafty_L

You know, this looks so much like the Jason Wu for Target dress I bought last winter…except the Target dress is better because it doesn’t have the dishrag!

  • jmorino08

Gorgeous from the neck up. Snoozeville from the neck down.

  • http://twitter.com/nonchalantanna Anna

Cute! Very Emma. I’m so sick of those freaking shoes, but she looks great here. I wouldn’t have minded a splash of color, maybe in the form of a brighter lip shade. Overall though, this is a win.
