Fabulous! Tip to toe. Chic as hell and love that she chose a red belt thingy – great pop of color. LOVE.

Agreed, I just wish she would have gone easier on the racoon makeup.

    • tereliz

I’ve been trying to figure out if it’s red or just a reflective metallic picking up the carpet… She looks great, though. I mean, if any outfit needs raccoon eyes, it’s this one.

    the makeup is disastrous.

    • Sobaika

Hey, smokey eyes are better than pink eyes.

      • Warmheartedgirl Seattle

Boy, isn’t that the truth!  Just a little heavy handed, though.

        • http://twitter.com/urban_gypsy Tess Danesi

Ha. If you think that’s heavy handed you haven’t seen enough episodes of Jerseylicious. Oops. I think I just revealed one of my guilty pleasures. I can’t help it, that show compels me ever since Olivia decided she was going to manifest the things she wanted in life among them an ocelot and new make up brushes.

          • littlemac8

Oh Tess, you made me laugh out loud – an ocelot and new make up brushes.  I wonder what else she’d want if she rubbed a lamp and a genie gave her THREE wishes!!!

nice, i like it. and the red belt it’s a nice touch

  • teensmom99

Looks like a cosmo cover from the 1980s. Emma, just wear the beautiful Lanvin dress again.

  • ChiliP

That’s how you wear lady-pants on the red carpet. Not sure about the super smokey eye.

  • moppet

I like this better than some of the other outfits she’s been wearing, but her makeup seems heavy. I’m going to assume the smokey eye works for the venue/time of day, however.

Her outfit choices for this little publicity jaunt feel very disjointed, though. Is it just me? I feel like she’s just been all over the place and I can’t pin down what the “takeaway” is supposed to be. Compared to Elizabeth Banks, for example, when she was doing publicity for The Hunger Games. Banks really picked a theme and stuck to it.

  • LesYeuxHiboux

Hostess at the Saturday Night Fever café? Dinner AND a show!

That hair/makeup is giving a serious Heather Locklear vibe.

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

    Love it!! She looks fantastic!

  • http://twitter.com/skitzfiggitous skitzfiggitous

She looks great, but in these photos it looks as though her legs are 8 feet long and just feed directly into her torso. A crotch-free existence. How sad.

  • http://twitter.com/Lily1129 Lily

I want to like this so bad. But the fit is off and it makes her hippy where the girl is not not not. And she looks gorgeous with a smokey eye, but this makeup looks almost like she did it herself.
*sigh* She almost gets it right every time but manages to screw it up somehow. I’m convinced one of her stylists has it out for her.

  • http://twitter.com/jelenawoehr jelenawoehr

She looks like a miniaturized version of PR’s stilt-walker challenge. The pants seem to be in some way not quite right at her height. Love the top though.

  • mjude

i am going to give her an in.  i think its quite fab in a liza with a z sorta way.

  • sashaychante

Shirt looks like she’s prepped for open heart surgery.  Serviceable look though.

  • TheOriginalLulu

Love, love, love it, except for the fact that she has no feet.

  • http://twitter.com/k_wilson k_wilson

I kinda adore this look, but sometimes I have to remind myself girl is 23 years old.

    • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

that’s kind of scary.  never would have guessed she’s that young.

  • vanjar

There is something off with the proportions, particularly the part around the shoulders. The hem of the trousers is perfect, not too sure about the colour of the belt.

  • merciblahblah

Yes yes yes HELL to the yes. I loves me a deep v. And a sparkly deep v? With pants no less? SHUT IT, Emma Stone. That. Is. Fab.

  • MilaXX

Now this look I like. Especially liking the pop of color belt buckle.

  • Thea Churchill-Robson

I *think* the belt buckle is a shiny metallic – like gold or silver – and is just reflecting off the same-toned red carpet.
A red buckle would certainly call for bolder-colored make-up.
She could actually be doing it OK; a dramatic look in neutrals.

    Thea R.

    • raeb23

I just saw another pic of her on Elie Saab’s FB page, the buckle was actually gold. I think she looks great, though the eye makeup is a bit much.

  • SapphoPoet

I like this. But where is the jewelry?

  • kimmeister

I find this to be a ‘Blanche Devereaux on the town” look.  Maybe if it didn’t have long sleeves . . .  Like the hair and makeup though.

  • schadenfreudelicious

she looks great, and while i love a smoky eye, that one goes past smoky to sooty i’m afraid…

  • mhleta

The red pop, the relaxed but tidy hair, the smokey eye….yes, yes, yes.

  • http://twitter.com/stellaphone Stella Zawistowski

Me likey, except for the close-up shot where the smoky eye starts to look like a shiner.

  • belfebe

    Perfection.

  • Lisa Dugan

She looks great and a heck of a lot more confident than she has in her other looks.

  • http://www.facebook.com/D.D.D.Dino Dino Bonačić

this is a pair of glamazon pants!

  • Lina_bee

Ack, terrible eyeshadow two posts in a row! What the HELL, Emma?  Your people are better than this! Meanwhile, as much as I hate jumpsuits, I must give cred for this working PERFECTLY for a comic book movie premiere. If this outfit is suited to ANY event, it’s THIS one.

  • clairellis

This looks better than the other items she been wearing.

  • http://profiles.google.com/sara.e.munoz Sara Munoz

    I *guess*.

  • jmorino08

That looks like it would be hot! I’m itching just looking at it from my 94 degree standpoint. Like the pop of color with the belt tho

  • http://profiles.google.com/jgonz85 Jasmine Gonzalez

The red belt with the black jumpsuit evokes a black widow.

  • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

Wow! This could have been the WERQ today if not for Shelley. This is stunning on her.

  • alyce1213

I want to wear this every day.

  • http://www.facebook.com/samuel.j.donovan Samuel Joesph Donovan

    Pretty effing fierce, yeah.

  • http://twitter.com/Ms_Rena Rena

I actually burst out laughing, I’m not sure that was the desired effert

  • Amy Ellinger

Its not often you see a neckline LOWERED from a runway version. borderline tacky, and the morning-after smoky eye is too much.  Otherwise, meh she looks cute. And her brows are wayyyyy overplucked.

As stylish and cute as she is, I’ll be glad when she can take a break and disappear for a month or two.

  • marilyn

I was onboard with the look, until I noticed the red/hot pink belt buckle.  Someone should restrain her from personalizing her look.

    • raeb23

Saw another pic earlier- it was actually gold & just reflecting the carpet.

  • kikisayshi

She looks fabulous! I am in love with that outfit and her hair and makeup look great, if a little heavy on the smoky eyes.

  • VicksieDo

WERQ it baby, that is a gorgeous gorgeous look!

  • Sara__B

I don’t like this on Emma. She’s wearing an outfit meant for Liza Minelli or some other flashy theatre grande dame. The heavy makeup and cut-to-the-waist neckline don’t suit her at all.

  • quiltrx

I don’t like the neckline on her…sort of cheap-looking.  She doesn’t have to go there.

And I say again–I will be glad when the tree-trunk-leg trend is over.

  • http://twitter.com/dysfashional Tilda Donner

She’s no Sharon Stone in that jumpsuit! That mug is just too turtle cartoonish awkward which will hinder her from ever being a glam siren.

  • PaulaBerman

The plunging neckline with the black against black makes her torso look really short. Also, she looks like she walked off the set of Dynasty. Do not like.

  • RzYoung

Now as it’s Tom’s birthday you are excused from writing this one up… but it defo deserves it’s own post. I think she looks stunning here, totally redeemed herself.

  • guest2visits

I like it; but these pics make her look a bit lost in it, the v-neck appears too wide. On the fence about red buckle.

  • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

ab-fab!  but it does refer a bit to a black widow spider.  i went as a black widow for halloween once.  i wore a black corset with a long clingy black pencil skirt, stockings and stilettos, a broad black hat with a long black veil.  tucked into the waist in front was a huge red rose, along with some prayer cards from my many husband’s funeral.  oh, and i almost forgot i was dripping in diamonds…..sigh…those were the days.  but i digress.  apologies.

  • Kriky

Emma Stone in Elie Saab is probably impossible to mess up! The makeup is good too; obviously the smokey eyes looks great from a distance but kinda heavy in the closeups.

  • BrightsideSusan

She is just so great – but the eye make-up is really too heavy.

  • Neverbuynewclothes

I think it’s aging her.  Send it to Heidi Klum.

  • Isana Leshchinskaya

maybe a more diffuse smokey eye? i’m paler than her and that stark black eye just does not work on anyone below a make nw20. she should have gone with a bronze or pewter or grey. but i don’t think that a very smokey eye is in her wheelhouse. also, with a low neckline like that, a bare neck with a simple updo would look much more striking. sock bun!

  • rougeort

Wow. That looks amazing on her. But WHY OH WHY didn’t she save this outfit for the winter time?!? It looks very February to me…

  • http://twitter.com/kerrymccombs Kerry McCombs

    Fanfuckingtastic!
