    She had me….until….WHITE shoes? WTF? Just because the model did it, doesn’t mean you have to do it, missy. Such a cute dress, OK hair and make-up…it’s the shoes….would a pop of a real color have killed you ?

    Oh God, such a scrolldown fug. Those white shoes are absolutely hideous. Cute dress though, could’ve used a more colorful clutch/more accessories.

    This is why you don’t copy the runway look. Those shoes ruin a perfectly nice dress.  The Madisona shoes from the Sigerson Morrison post would work much better. She also needs to lose that bag, and the makeup is caked on too heavy.

    The problem with the shoes is not so much the color but the shape. Very Staten Island secretary.

    To defend the model, those shoes look more beige-ish (and they look better than the stark white). I like the sheerness of the model’s dress too…. whatever Deby Ryan (who?) is wearing under her version makes the dress a lot more standard to me… cute but nothing special…

      Agreed. Looks like the model is wearing a white underlay, which works well because you can see the detail in the dress. The black underlay that Debby here is wearing makes it look like she’s wearing a plain black dress. And those are some ugly shoes.

    I think the white shoes could have worked if they were pointy-toed slingbacks. Maybe. But I would have done a bright pump with a more graphic clutch. Maybe some metallic studs or even a pop of neon. This dress is like a blank slate. It needs some character. Desperately.

    Its not that the shoes are white, its that the shoes are ugly. Cute white shoes would have been a fun look.

    I hate that 1st tilted head “aren’t I too precious pose”. Cute dress. Needs some “oomph” factor to make it work & the shoes are just wrong.

    Contrasting shoes are fine, but not white.  She could have really picked an unusual style and/or color in shoes and they would have popped.  She is young, and will learn.  Besides, those shoes look like they could be dyed to match the next bridesmaid dress she wears.

    It’s riding up which makes the bodice not fit properly. Styling fail.

    That dress is incredibly cute; I want it. But I don’t think the white shoes look good. I’d only go as pale as nude, like the model.
    The clutch may be Chanel, but it looks like a cosmetics pouch.

    My kids live her on the Disney Channel and she is a really cute girl. But this is not her best look. The dress is cute but it looks more distinctive on the model and that hair is way too heavy in front. That’s not normally wha her hair does so I assume those are extensions or fake bangs. Either way, not good. And who is doing makeup for all these Disney Princesses and making their cheeks looks like that?

    I wonder why the checkerboard stands out so much more on the model?  I like it better that way.  Maybe the lining is lighter? 

    Anyway, totally cute dress.  I think the white shoes are totally wrong, though.  Some other color.  And who is she?  Looks like a baby Marie Osmond.
