On not having a stylist: My assistant will call fashion houses for me, but I always pick the outfit, shoes, jewelry, and a lot of times I do my own hair and makeup for events. Sometimes I think, God, why do I do this to myself? It’s so much extra work!

On her reason why not: Because I love fashion. It’s such an expression of self. I often see people and they look great, but I can identify who styled them. Every stylist has a signature. Maybe it sounds jerky, but I’m lucky to be on such a fashion-centric show [Gossip Girl]. There’s no designer I don’t have access to.

On the public’s perception of her: People like to draw parallels between my life and the scandalous stories on Gossip Girl. I dress the same as my character, so they think, She lives this life on and off set. I recently shared how many boyfriends I’ve had [four], and people were like, “That’s impossible!” But it’s true. I’ve been with very few people. If I’m not with somebody who really excites or inspires me, then I’d rather be by myself.

    Seriously, though, she’s got a hell of a face, but she’s such a snooze.  There’s nothing especially vibrant or interesting about her at all, even while rocking some serious Fashion.

    I can’t hate on this girl too much. She’s got the body, she’s kind of got the looks, she’s making the most of what she’s got in Hollywood while she still can. Her styling is awful, but the people who hire her don’t really care what she looks like in clothes. If she’s smart enough to realize this, I’m extremely impressed. If she doesn’t know this … cannot fathom it, surely she must realize it.

    I loved the cover until I scrolled down enough to see what was below the waist and then I was sad. A really hot suit in red satin would have been super cool.

      When I first scrolled down, I thought it was a bizarre double-breasted jumpsuit and I recoiled in horror, until I realized it was a dress with part of her leg showing.  I would’ve liked it better as a suit too.

    I assume that there is a stylist for this shoot.  She can call the shots about what she wears in her personal life, but when she does a spread for a magazine, they make decisions about how she looks.

    Did she style herself for that photo shoot too? That nude colored dress does not work with her coloring at all! And really Allure? Fifty Shades of Blake Lively??? Not only is it a total hack headline, it’s a weak one at that.
